(for the lack of a better subject thread title ...) I was really stoked to see Lisa Nañez's name back with the Mexican team, having made the Olympic roster (having always been a big fan of hers) ... but I was just doing a random news search and came upon this article: Mistake costs Nanez Olympic soccer berth That must really really been deflating to find out that you made your way back on the team (after being absent for a few years) only to not be able to go because of something like that ... I guess, had Lisa been playing with Mexico for the past few years they would have noticed the missing papers ... but too little, too late. Shucks ... I was really looking forward to seeing her back out on the field.

I bet she'll never send her tax returns in without making copies first. It's a horrible break for her, and hard way to learn a very basic lesson: Never trust any organization with the only copies of any paperwork important to you.
