Started this thread cause there are threads about every other player on the German National Team except for Klose.

Hail one of the most humble and underrated players in Europe!

Mr. World Class brought his season total to 20 goals today.

Hated to see him go to the scum, but he's a great player, not denying it.

yeah great player. Certainly underrated, but part of it is also hi humbility. I didnt know he already scored 20 season goals, shows that he can pack more in the net than the other primadonnas in the premier la liga etc even though theyve got more games.

Toni has something like 22 goals. Between them they are going to approach 50 goals. That is pretty unbievable for any striking partnership. It also shows what a great team player Klose and how much he makes it easier for the players around him.

Schneider is slightly better for me. I mean, I'd rather have him if I was building a team. His understanding of situations on the field and ability to react is priceless.

    hmm...maybe i should make a schneider thread :D

Hey, I am the biggest Schneider fan around here (after you of course :D) but I'm picking Miro because I'm still having nightmares about Germany's Dark Age period of incompetent strikers. To see a German striker score 20 goals in a season is magnificent!

Klose is great...lead 06 WC with 5 goals, and ready to pass Muller for all time in 2010 WC.

Miroslav Klose. Well hes one of the most effective strikers ive ever seen. His techniques in scoring both head and foot are outstanding. But he still has to prove to be more than a nations first choice. I dont know why he decided to go to Bayern. He needs to play in leagues abroad. Primera Division maybe. That would lead the way for more of our talents to go abroad and to make the Bundesliga benefit both from knowledge and fame. No wonder the BL is underrated if we dont show the jewels or they go to play in UEFA Cup....

Underrated like hell, just like the Bundesliga. He can score everything to bits at the world cup and people will still underrate him. He's scoring goals, a lot, and he is one of the most clinical finishers I can think of. Brilliant man.

In uli hesse-lichtenberger's 2nd to last article, he had a really good paragraph or two about how everything is in the superlative these days...this applies to the big marketed leagues where they exclaim "brilliant" to things that are what professional footballers should be doing 9/10 times. This indirectly makes people think that strikers like Klose cannot exist outside those places.

I think I may have included some Friendlies and the Liga Pokal for Klose.

Either way, they'll both get over 20 by season's end.

They could both get 30+...if they had a really good classic playmaker...hmmm that makes me think now...

Yea thing with Klose is he's never really relied on his pace to be effective (although he is deceptively quick). He's a really smart player in terms of awareness though, and always gets into the best position possible whether in terms of scoring or assisting. Toni wouldn't have had half the goals he's scored this year without a Klose assist I think, goes to show that Klose (when on form and enjoying his football) can be an amazing player. Its possible that Klose might even be BETTER in 2010 than he is now.

Still can't believe he went to Bayern though... wtf...
