Hello the Minnesota Thunder are announcing that they signed, David Castellanos to a two year contract.

I'm just curious if anyone has any opinions on Castellanos. Maybe if anyone has seen him play what to look for from him, any possitives or negatives. Thanks for any info anybody can provide.

I read that the Thunder have scored only 11 goals in 11 games, a true team after a Colorado fan's heart!

Maybe Minnesota is our sister state team? We should swap forwards or something. ;)

Glad to see Castellanos found a home — maybe it's just another small blip that indicates there's getting to be some depth of professional soccer opportunities in the U.S.

    Cheers,

I was totally unimpressed with Castellanos in the scrimages I saw him play in. He was usually having trouble with his first touch and frustrated he couldn't keep up with the pace of play. He has a big frame and could be a good force in the box. Overall I didn't think highly of him. Maybe he'll benefit from some time in the A-league.

I think it is ironic he's playing for the Thunder since the Reserve are traveling out there for the 3rd round of the Open Cup.

Well we do have four Liberian forwards for Colorado to choose from. :D

The Thunders starting central defender is Dustin Branan is the older brother of Rapids Reserve player Brett Branan.
