Who’s on the depth chart at right back for this team? Might Hairston play there, with someone else (Parente? Zawadski?) in midfield?

 

I was going to have a snappy comment about our backup striker trying to work his way back into Qatar. But, I think it funnier and sadder to just repeat the name --- Hurtado.

 

The reserves should be good enough to win. The coaching staff, game plan, and preparation is what worries me.

 

Don't worry Crew fans. I heard from a trusted source that the Porter gave up scoring goals for Lent. Since that month ended with Easter Sunday, The Crew is allowed to score again.

Im not confident we win at all. All of our backup options on the senior team should still be better than most of Detroit Citys players but that doesnt matter if the team isnt motivated to achieve something here, because the coach has decided this tournament isnt a priority. Im hoping at least one of our guys has a spark in him to prove something, despite the defeated influence coming from the coach. Id love to see Matan step up and show his worth in this game.

Also im personally offended that they cant at least bring a mixed starting 11, with at least a few big guys because its not that often that I get to see my team this close to home! Its alright though, ill have fun regardless of the result and support the players.

 

Well Matan should be extra motivated. His wife arrived in Detroit yesterday. She's moving here. Strangely he was there with her and driving an Audi. Do you think the team let him drive up separately?

Also there was snow up there yesterday. Today looks to be similar to here and not very warm. Wish game was tomorrow with 50 degree partly sunny forecast. Let's just avoid injuries.

 

Yeah, I'm not too optimistic about this match and wouldn't be surprised if the Crew went out of the cup tonight. The managers of recent years just don't seem to care about it.
