    2-0 Ignition after 1st quarter.

Marcelo Fontana attempted a bicycle kick midway through the quarter, but just missed the net.

Josh Rife sent a pass from midfield off the end glass, and Worteh Sampson does his own bike, but unlike Fontana, he converts with around 1:15 left (with JP Rodrigues on his back).

The announcers mentioned the Waza as a "semi-farm club" playing in the same arena, due to the fluctuation of players between them. Surprised they failed to mention the Cougars are in town to play them later.

2-2 at the half. Tight defense on both ends, and both Vorberg and Waltman have been playing pretty well.

In other news, Droo Callahan is in his first home game of the year (back from injury), and Milwaukee must be trying to make sure he goes right back on the injured list. He's been taking some shots, including an elbow to the face (that always feels good).

4-4 after 3. Vahid Assadpour scores from just inside the arc. After a Callahan foul accumulation and subsequent blue card, and an Assadpour boarding penalty, Dusosky converts 15 seconds into a 5-on-3 power play. This game has been physical, to say the least.

Sampson is scoring some highlight goals today. Quick turn and fire from just inside the arc makes it 6-4 Detroit with 12:30 left.

The assassin strikes again. Assadpour scores to make it 10-4 with 2:59 to go. 6th attacker has to be forthcoming.

Make that his first XSL goal. He has scored his first pro indoor goal in the PASL-Pro already.

10-4 final. Puts Detroit all alone in 1st place. They have now won 15 straight home games. Their last home loss was on January 4, 2008, a 20-10 defeat to the Cougars, who are in town to play the Waza in a few minutes.

Also, fun fact, the Ignition kept Keith Tozer at 599 career victories. He'll have to wait for his milestone (hopefully at least 2 weeks).

Two great goals for Worteh Sampson. Milwaukee outshot Detroit 37-21, but Detroit made the most of its chances. Danny Waltman is so much better than he was when he first came up with the Chicago Storm in 2004-05. He was out of position a lot back then. He is playing great now. It really helps a team to have a keeper playing as well as him.
