Our Primavera squad is currently taking part in the Torneo Viareggio, its' held annually and one of the biggest youth tournaments in the world. This is the tournament where young talents are discovered. In our first game today we beat Belasica Strumica (I'm guessing a Romanian club?) 4-0. Goals scored by Ginola, Alberto Paloschi, Pierre Aubameyang, and Federico Coppiardi. TuttoMercatoWeb (which has excellent Torneo Viareggio coverage), stated that our Nigerian fantasista Kingsley Umunegbu was the best player of the field. http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/?action=read&id=91253
Jan 31st: Milan vs. Malaysian Indian (15:00) Feb 2nd: Milan vs. Cesena (15:00) Final is on the 11th of February.
Big win for the Milan Primavera today at the Viareggio Tournament. The Rossoneri were 9-0 winners over Malaysian Indians. Goals from Paloschi, a Rampinini hat trick, Coppiardi, two goals form Orlandi, and two goals from Umunegbu. This qualifies Milan for the knockout stage with 1 game to spare.
you mean true minutes? oh, years if at all (if carlo is around as well). he might get some garbage minutes at the end of the season, though, if there is nothing for which to achieve.
Milan drew Cesena 1-1, with a goal from Pierre Aubameyang. We will know our Round of 16 opponents tomorrow.
We will take on Vicenza in the Round of 16. Since Paloschi has been called up to the first team, Milan will probably start with Pierre Aubameyang and Umunegbu up top.
we lost to Vicenza and are eliminated from the Viareggio tournament. We tied 1-1 in regulation and then lost 4-3 in the shootout. another poor showing at the Viareggio by our Primavera squad. We haven't won since 2001.
With Balotelli and Pato we certainly would've had an attack that makes your mouth water. However the rivalry should make for some interesting derbies for the next 10 years.
With Balotelli on Inter and Pato on Milan, this is great for everyone. Should these players become household names within the next few years, it will benefit Inter, Milan, Fans by creating some interesting derbies, and even Italy as a whole. Off Topic: Cassano, has Balotelli spoken anymore on his International future?
The funny thing being... that... according to his friends balotelli was (is) a milan fan. And milan had the chance to get him when he was 15.
well, now just have to hope that they have no room for him after a few loan spells, and he comes the other side of the san siro...
I'm sure both Inter and Milan scouts saw him as a youngster (he still is a youngster!), since he was at Lumezzane, and that's not too far from Milan, but Inter were good to snap him up.
