Those days long gone. Plus they getting mbappe. Just real, city, maybe psg cause they have so much $$
Everything is becoming so boring… perhaps the USA has it right with salary cap limits so that scouting actually is the difference maker rather than being able to create super teams.
6 cl titles in 10 years. That's our clubs entire history. Just crazy obviously times are different. Plus they adding mbappe so probably 4 or 5 more during 10 years.
You are right. It’s gotten to the point on why they even have a tournament. Real Madrid is awesome when it comes to winning champions league. I’m not sure what they have there but no team in Italy or anywhere else can come close to what they’ve achieved in their history.
Comment I saw today, Milan were only 9-7 behind Madrid when Berlusconi stopped caring. Factor in that Madrid won 5 off the bat. Milan were right there. Milan don't even have a CF announced for next season and Madrid have made Mbappé official to their numerous other players under Age 24.
Salary caps in the US are less about preserving competition than holding down players share of revenues (except in the NBA where they have a more nuanced system of wages and profit sharing). I'm generally against rich owners taking a larger share of the revenue pie. Players should take every dime they can get. However, the European situation writ-large also means that some owners need to be reigned in because they are basically private equity funds (or actually are) that drain all the assets out of the clubs and then leave them to die. That's more an argument for the German model than anything probably.
Just a legitimate as Milan's in 2003. Considering Juve were without the Ballon D'Or winner for that match, how did it even get to PK's?
Rolex gifts were from Roma. But gifts to Referee's were not against the rules. Since changed. Lemme guess, Juve's fault that Napoli finished in 10th this season.
All relative to what we already see. Won't change at all. Copenhagen can beat ManU in the new format as they did this past season.
As I was living in Italy in those years, many teams gave referees gifs. On the one hand , I can sympathize with the refs as they made a miserable salary in regard to the players and deserved so much more. On the other, I can see how ref receiving gifts from clubs would be a huge conflict and abuse of his position.
Now that I think about it, was Milan`s 2007 CL legitimate? Given they were also guilty in calciopoli in 2006, how was it that they were allowed to compete in the following seasons UCL? Or maybe Moggi was correct from the very start when he said he was only a part of a broken system.
Berlusconi would never allow milan to be relegated. Agnellis pee sitting down. Don Silvio whips the big one out!
Because your roommates Inter hate us more. Jealous? This shit needed to happen. Imagine Inter having the head of telecom Italia in the back pocket. That alone tells you how demented it was. They only got away with it because the limitation expired. I kinda tuned out the sport for a few years around this time. Admittedly I don't know much about it.
