Right. And modern Italian players don't move abroad. Interesting enough in my feed this morning in an article that appeared in Four-Four-Two Vicario explains why Italian players don't move abroad.

Here's another: Marco Verratti. Highly successful career completed in France.

A guy like Alessandro Diamanti. Bounced around more times than just about any player in history. Be it at Bologna, Livorno or West Ham, his numbers were steady. He didn't suddenly play bad after he moved to England.

A guy like Pazzini would have been a failure in his last stint in Spain the same as if he stayed in Italy and played at a bottom feeder there as well.

You watched Ligue 1? My compliments.

Considering when he left he was the longest serving player and won many domestic trophy's, CL Final, PSG fans sure didn't mind him (the most successful period in their clubs history)

Any failure players you want to list?

Which is why Jorginho is a legend! He made it in England!

He is Brazilian and choose Italy because he knew he would never play for Brazil.

EPL is where Italian careers go to die.

Wrong. Jorginho wasn't on Brazil's radar because he had been in Italy since age 15. He didn't grow up in the Brazilian ranks, he's an unknown. But if Jorginho had just recently moved over after a stint at a big Brazilian club, his play at Napoli and then Chelsea would have definitely put him on the Brazil radar.

Some Brazilians wanted Joao Pedro of Cagliari. If they wanted him they most certainly would have wanted Napoli/Chelsea Jorginho. It's just that he was unknown as he didn't play there.

Not to mention, back when Conte did not call him up for a while and was being criticized, Brazil's coach Dunga back then actually tried to call him but he declined because he wanted Italy.

Another story is that Brazil only came calling after Italy called. By all accounts Jorginho could have turned around and said No to Italy and accepted Brazil but didn't.

I guess Diego Costa, as prolific as he was, only played for Spain because Brazil didn't call him. Costa vs Firmino/Gabriel Jesus. Don't know, man. Real tough decision.

If you say so. Messi left Argentina younger than him. If he was anything special he would have been called up by Brazil. Also playing for Italy is less competition for a starting spot.

Really don't follow. Messi was a prodigy and was always well known in Argentina despite not playing there.

Again now, he did do enough to be called by Brazil. Any simple online search will tell you as much.

Milan needs to pray to Kaka and bring back a core of Brazilian players.

Brazilians are too expensive plus not as good as they use to be.
Not as bad as current Italian players however.

More French. More high boots and more PK's. Automatic on Maignan.

Yes, Kaladze was a great player. It was sad when they kidnapped his brother. RIP.
