We've added another keeper. http://www.chicago-fire.com/pressbox/pressrelease/releasetext.asp?prID=1251 Is there any reason we'd have three GK on the roster?
That Milwaukee - Minnesota match Nick Walls is supposed to be starting in will be on Fox Sports World tonight @ 7:00pm.
Well 3 gks is just perfect for the US. A team, obviously, should have a starting goalie, his back-up, and in order to answer your question, what would happen if either of this two get injured? Just in case, man. In Europe, a lot of teams have 4 GKs, but here there would be no point in doing that, unless you had like a high school goalie as the 4th, because reserve team soccer in the us is highly weak, or practically non-existent. So having 3 goalies in the US is good
If the Howard (Mutts) to Man U. rumor has any truth, than there is space for an extra keeper in the MLS/AEG stable. Trades would follow. Cap space could be cleared.... ...hmm?
The Fire loaned Ring to the Rochester Rhinos for the season. http://www.a-league.com/news/2003/news,2003,0202.shtml
Old news. Didn't read the original press release, eh?? from the 16 May, Fire press release: "... Henry Ring, who was sent on loan to the A-League’s Rochester Raging Rhinos ..."
A short haiku inspired by the departure of Henry Ring (and arrival of new keeper) -an ode to henry ring- keeper of our hearts you lose to rampage in WI better than onstad
