    Half time Tottenham 3 - City 0

Ledley scored an absolute gem with his left foot in the first couple of minutes. Top class :D

Robbie then bagged the second goal after 20 mins after a long pass forward by Carr. Dodgy defending again by City, not that I was complaining!

Ziege then scored a glorious free kick, typical Christian and wonderful to see in his first home game back in a long time.

Postiga went off injured after about 10 minutes with what looked like a hamstring injury, so it seems like Defoe will play against Portsmouth. It's not looking good for Helder, even if he's only out for a couple of weeks, by the time he comes back to full fitness Defoe could be entrenched in the team and Kanoute will be back from Mali duty.

Defoe was paraded before the fans at the start of the game, I'm very much looking forward to seeing him. His pace and goalscoring will be invaluable, despite the good stuff tonight we really could do with someone like that, keep defences on the back foot and go sniffing for easy chances.

Brown covered a lot of ground, decent in posession and again looks a useful signing. He's adjusting to the Premiership and getting better and better. Gives us that aggressive energy and drive in midfield. Robbie is in fantastic form and the team had a better and more solid shape to it than usual. Citeh were not impressive though, looked drained after their good performance against A*senal, particularly at the back, although Fowler was their liveliest player and Wright-Phillips caused problems again. Anelka had a groin injury and went off early, which made things a lot easier.

    Bring on ManYoo! :D

yeah I thought Brown had an excellent half as well. He and King paired well in the middle.

For City, they seemed to fall apart after Fowler missed a couple of chances and then Anelka went off hurt. If that one long drive from Fowler had found the net, they may have fed off the energy. Luckily for Spurs, he missed, and Robbie scored not long after to drive a stake through their hearts.

no fair looking ahead to manu yet - don't want to jinx the boys.

I don't think it gets much better than that first half. All three goals were of the highest quality. Defense looked a little shakey at first but Richards really does a good job of keeping everyone together from what I see. Brown has looked like exactly what we need in the middle and is all over the pitch.

Oh how stupid I look with the we don't need Defoe posts. Let's hope Postiga doesn't completely lose his spot because of the injury. How long till Kanoute comes back?? I haven't kept up with African Nations Cup other than Mali is through to the next round. If Mali doesn't get past the next round, which looks unlikely because I think their opponent is Guana or something like that when will he come back home?

Barton got a red card! While they were walking off the pitch for half time he started having a go at the ref (Rob Styles) and got given a red as he'd already been booked for hacking Brown. Crazy thing to do.

3-0 up and Citeh down to 10 men, good times :)

Feel sorry for Keegan though, I think this could be it for him. I heard Citeh have Allardyce lined up to take over, but I'm not sure he'd do it until the end of the season at least, not with Bolton in a cup final and in the top 10. Citeh could still go down to division 1 by then.

    Hahaha :D

I could sense this was happening. I suppose I did jinx it, but what on earth did Keegan say to his boys at half time? And what on ****ing earth did Pleat say to ours????

    Tottenham 3 - Citeh 3

Typical Spurs, always tossing things away. Shades of the ManYoo game last season.

Wright-Phillips was offside, very poor linesman decision. But to be fair they deserved it, 10 man have outplayed 11, even though the Citeh goalkeeper has had a second half stormer.

    Citeh 4 - Tottenham 3

Well, they're calling it one of the greatest comebacks in FA Cup history, I call it one of the most spineless collapses! :D

Even I could manage a team better than this crap.

Unbelievable!!!!!! That has to be the worst display in one half I have seen in a very long time. Richards looked like he was going to die in the second half and should have been off the pitch after 60 minutes because he was not match fit. Pleat looked outclassed again as a manager. Just don't have the words to say how bad this could hurt Tottenham.

    Best Ever

That has got to be the best game that I have ever seen. So much quality finishing (or poor defense) and heart shown by each team. Tottenham showed it in the first and Citeh in the second. Not sure they would have comeback without the Barton sendoff.

Are you Glenn Hoddle in disguise? Trying to top your explanation for the last seminal big lead lost game to a team from Manchester.

I'm feeling this. What more do we have to go through ? The only consolation I can draw is that we almost certainly would have lost at Old Trafford. Deafitist sure, but this lot have no spine. The players need to hold themselves accountable for this and put in some hard F-U-C-K-I-N-G work in the coming weeks.

    Depressed Yid :(

I haven't felt so disapointed since the semi against Arsenal in 2001. This is completely unacceptable. The season is now over, I just wonder how the players can possibly pick themselves up from this. Heads must roll.

Apparently the plastic gloryhunters in the A*senal forum have linked to this thread in their precious little forum. Nice to know those nerds are still trying to ape the real fans, as soon as they lose a game they all disappear, even worse than the chelski lot :D

There was a good rousing support and singing at the Lane even when it went to 3-3. That's to the club's credit, the fans have done their bit and then some, just a shame the players and management are incapable of doing theirs.....

In my best comic book guy voice from The Simpsons Worst Loss Ever!!!!

Or at least worst that I have ever seen from Spurs. Now I haven't been around that long but it just reminded me of watching the Cubs this last year lose to the Marlins. Just hurts real bad. Lets hope this doesn't sink us for the entire year. We are still not out of relegation danger with performances like that. Just have to have a total team effort for more than 45 minutes.

OK, I'm new to all this, but why, with a 3-0 lead, would a manager make only one substitution: a midfielder for a defender? Why not use Kelly?

On TV, I couldn't tell if someone moved back, or was it a 3-5-2 in the second half?

    Wow, what a disappointment. :(

Now that the transfer window is closed, it's good to know that we lack central defenders, a left back (besides Ziege), and a quality Dmid. I wonder how we would have fared with Van Bommel in that midfield, Konchesky at left back and Bocanegra in central defense?

Unfortunately, I also wonder just how good that other Manchester team can be with Van Buyten.

Don't get down, time to concentrate on the league. Shrug off the Postiga bad news and concentrate on the Defoe good news. Shrug off the exit from yet another cup and concentrate on moving up midtable. Shrug off Kanoute's absence and concentrate on Keane's form. Shrug off Gardner's lack of fitness and concentrate on his health, as well as the return of Ziege and soon Redknapp.

    Go you Spurs!

Absolutely stunning. I nearly turned it off at the half, especially after Barton got sent off. Got to feel for Spurs supporters, you all must be gutted. That has to go down as one of the biggest colllapses in FA Cup history. Great match from aneutral standpoint though.

    !@#$

that's my two club teams giving up a huge lead in a cup game in less than a year.

can we just say we'll take 17th place and end the season now... what a waste.

....I left the game at half-time, thinking the same as everyone else that the game was finished. Well never again will I give up on mediocre teams playing against Spurs that are 3-0 down and down to ten men. Your team has always lacked bottle but last night was something else, in the words of Alan Hansen 'shocking', in my words 'you sad bottling losers!!'

Bottling it is what you did at Bolton last season, 2-0 up and title in your grasp, oh dear it's slipped out again.

Don't come on here giving us that sort of sh!t, *#*#*#*#*# off back to your own board. I just can't wait til you get humiliated in Europe once again.
