    From Today's Soccer America Daily:

    5. FRENCH FLAVOR: Former Arsenal midfielder Gilles Grimandi, who is out of contract, is reportedly coming to the United States this week to talk with team and league officials about joining MLS next season.

Grimandi, 31, played six seasons for Monaco before joining Arsenal in 1997. He played 114 Premier League games for the Gunners and also played for them in the 2000 FA Cup final.

If we get him along with Thierry Henry, then why not?

Grimandi is a defender/d-mid, I'd hope he wasn't playing right mid if we did somehow get Gilles.

Too young and frankly he isn't as good as Faria.

Not a Grimandi fan, but if the price and salary was right, might be ok.

Grimandi would be a good enough pickup from where I sit...he came up pretty big for Arsenal at times. Also, I think he could be someone who helps marshal our defense a bit...if guys like Petke and Jolley will listen to him.

On the other hand, OZ could lose with FIFA All-Stars.

I can't remember one time he "came up big" for Arsenal. But then again, I don't see all the games.

If he does play this position I would snatch him in a second to substitute Paule and Moore so we can play a diamond four midfield. I know some of you like Ross because he is consistent but I find him consistently bad.

As for Moore he did a great job this year but I see him more of a bench player.

We have bigger problems than Ross Paule. There were many times this season when Ross saved the defenses collective butts.
