Here's how things are looking for me at the midway point of the season.........

    1. Panther City FC 7 26 - 6 18
    2. OSORIO RC 7 17 - 9 18
    3. Onion Patch 7 21 - 14 13
    4. Mighty Mephistophel 7 11 - 14 8
    5. Cincinnati United 7 17 - 19 7
    6. New England Black S 7 14 - 20 7
    7. The BoozeHounds 7 14 - 21 7
    8. FORTE 7 8 - 25 3

Lucky to drop into one of the weakest D3 leagues, I'm sitting pretty in a tie for 1st place. With Onion Patch (far and away the toughest team of the bunch) stumbling several times already, things are looking pretty good. OSORIO RC keeps surprising everyone, though. My only loss came away to Onion Patch, and he MOTS'd me. However, I have to play OSORIO RC in his stadium in 2 weeks.

The lineups for The Boozehounds and FORTE have both been reset. I play The Boozehounds next week, so I assume it'll be a walkover?? The best part of this turn of events is that when I play OSORIO RC and Onion Patch it'll come right after I've gotten to PIC a walkover.

    :)

I'm not ready to promote back to D2, but I wouldn't mind winning III.9 and playing in a promotion playoff. It's within my grasp. I'm just enjoying winning again........

    1. The Romulus Asylum 7 25 - 9 19
    2. Raytown Rangers 82 7 15 - 7 15
    3. Lakewood Gangstas 7 11 - 9 13
    4. AC Poudre Rafters 7 18 - 12 8
    5. Lakers F.C. 7 13 - 13 7
    6. Grey Ghost 7 12 - 17 7
    7. Island Jazz 7 6 - 14 7
    8. RS Lords 7 2 - 21 4

I've been lucky this season getting, getting some good results. I defeated Lakewood away, and I defeated Rafters, the IV demotee last week at home. 4-8 are still very tight in my series, and there have been a lot of strange results in my series that should not be happening, for instance, Jazz should have no where near 7 points, they should have 3 tops, they have a rather weak team, but I think he's getting wins because other people PIC him when they shouldn't. I still refuse to give him that and will instead smoke him the last day of the season. Romulus should be the group winner, but as you can see by his points, he's well behind the autopromotion line, due to his run in the Open Cup this season. His TS is in the whole, but he's pulling it out with back to back games against RS Lords, who is over his head in his first full season, he promoted from VI after only having his team a while, so he's now getting beat pretty bad and his ego is taking a hit.

This week, I have Rafters away which I should lose, followed by Lakers at home, which I should be able to win with some changes that I've made to my team since he beat me 3-0 earlier this season. I figure 1-2 more wins should assure me of a top 4 finish this season, even with the other teams being so close.

No reason I don't win this season... I am very mad with a wtf draw this past week... but hopefully no more suprises... I have to play Beach High Tides has hit place in 3 weeks I believe which will be tough... but I think we will both be coming off pic wins... should be interesting... I beat him at his place now I have to go to his stadium... if my excellent striker finds form by then it should be a win though... I may also splurge on an excellent defender by then though as I have 2 home games before that match and will likely get enough for either 1 mega purchase mega being 500-700k or 2 minor purchases around 200k or so.

I WILL PROMOTE THIS SEASON... if I can beat beach hi tides at his place it will be done with ease.

    8. Argentina 86 7 3 - 31 1

I am having a terrible season, which I mostly like to blame on injuries and red cards. For the most part that is true. I have also faced a tough first seven schedule as I have played everyone the week after they played Argentina 86 -- so everyone is winning a piC and then playing me.

That changes in the second half of the season but it does show a flaw in the fixture system.

The only point Argentina has was against me in a thrilling 0-0 draw.

Tactically I have been poor this season and I lost the first four (IIRC) matches by the same score 3-2. So odd goal losses show I am not too far behind.

I am suffering some from selling one of my best PMs at the end of the season and my new forward got a 7 week injury in pre-season. He is now back and I have a 5.5 star keeper now. So I expect to improve in the second half of the season --- or go down!

This is my second full season and I expect to finish in 4th or, if I stumble, 5th place. Last season I finished in 5th.

Seaturtles Uncomfortable and Malibu are all strong teams pulling 150 - 180 in hatstats.

Lazio and Fishmongers are both 3 or 4 seasons old, but they don't train well and we are about even in strength and I should be beating them regularly next season.

Trojan Men are just miserable, but snowsaints is interesting. This is his first season and he spent for the short term. He actually has a decent chance of finishing in 6th ... which I'd love to see because then either Lazio or Fishmonger would be going down and I like it when teams older than me are relegated out of my league.

Long-term, I'm going to be stuck behind the top three for a while. All have good efficent training programs and they beat up on each other enough to prevent autopromotion. I'm not too worried yet since it'll be 3 or 4 seasons before I'm ready to even think about div IV.

So far I have exceded my expectations for this season. I wanted to reach the 3rd round of the cup and finish in the top 5 of my series. I made the 4th round of the cup and at the turn I am in 3rd place. In the short term I should have no problem finishing in the top 5, and with a little sweat 3rd is likely.

Stuck in 7th place. Might be able to get into 6th if I win my next two games and Oi Lukoi doesn't. Past that, the rest of my season has me playing Oi Lukoi, then The Sprinkles, and then 5th-1st.

Well, it's been fun being in D5. :)

Disappointing two week losing streak. Only team to beat Pariahs, the Div IV demotee. Was trying to make a bid at taking first but after beating Pariahs, I lost my best player. He was a third of my midfield and that's hurt. I've upgraded my def and fwds this season so things are going well, but I expected to be on top. I need to win the next two games to keep pace with Pariahs and potentially defeat him a 2nd time three weeks from now.

Doing nicely in my 1st full season. 2 straight sellouts at 18,000. Finally getting back up into the positive $$. May be pricing out another addition this evening.

Not getting too much luck with youth pulls, but training is starting to pay some dividens.

Not a very strong division I would think, however.

Both myself an ur_land are in this series, and we both figure to finish somewhere between 3rd and 7th. We all expected a close fight among this second tier, and we were right. Flatirons has opened up a little breathing room, but it's still too close to call who will get that dreaded autodemotion slot. The season-ending match between myself and ur_land could be crucial in deciding who stays and who goes. Whoever does get relegated will surely be back in DV after next season.

I have been fortunate to be dropped into a VI series that is below average at best. Already been one team reset and another will be this weekend if he doesn't log in by then.

Have had a few bumps along the way, but currently unbeaten with 2 draws to Candia and puttarz.

I fully expect to contend for #1 and at this point would be disappointed if I don't get it, injuries not withstanding. I have the best MF in the series, lowest goals allowed and 2nd highest goals scored. This is all attributable to my MF dominance as I have out chanced my opposition by 40-12 in the first seven matches (stats courtesy: HAM). Those stats tell me as well, that I need more attack and defense. Little over 50% conversion for me and over 2/3 for the opposition.

Due to my early draws, if I win my series would probably be placed in a qualifier for promotion due to low point total.

This newbie isn't complaining at the moment, but I am sure tougher times are ahead.

I'm doing much better than I expected to do at the start of the season. Sunchal, wmn, and UIC all finished with 30 or more points last season, Sunchal actually should have autopromoted but he threw his last few games of the season and finished 3rd allowing wmn to play (and lose) a qualifier.

wmn_team would be ahead of me right now but he had some TS issues early in the season and lost to willies last week because he used a bad formation. UIC's manager either doesn't know what he's doing or he's waiting until next season when Sunchal is (hopefully) gone to make his move. He has a brilliant keeper but his midfield rating is usually around wretched very low and his attack is pretty lame.

My TS is in good shape and 3 of my next 4 games will be PIC. Second place looks to be mine, I should be able to atleast match my 16 points from the first 7 weeks with a loss to Sunchal and a MOTS win or draw at wmn. I could even finish first and promote if Sunchal decides he likes VI again.

With a perfect record and +33 gd I expect to win my fairly weak dvi league and autopromote. However, with frequent injuries (including key trainees) and an at-best sputtering economic situation I expect to get spanked in dv.

My fan base and sponsors are strong and if I can get close enough to being in the black to take on enough further debt to make a significant addition to my stadium I may be able to manage a smoother transition than I anticipate.

Somehow I lost to #6 last week. Even stranger is that they were #5 before they beat me...

I'm gonna wipe the floor with them this week and then we'll see how the rest of the season goes. I might be able to take 2nd. Doubt I'll finish lower than 3rd.

Brays sits a disappointing 7th after what seems like a run of bad luck. We won one that we shouldn't have, but also left some points behind in matches where a win or draw might have been expected. Relegation is a real danger here, either directly or because I have to spend TS to earn a qualifier and can't pull my usual maneuver of banking TS for a nasty home MOTS in the qually.

I'm sitting in 3rd of III.3 (one of the weaker series in III). I've got 12 points, the leader has 16, and the 7th place team has 9. So basically, I could finish anywhere from 1st to 7th. If I get demoted, I'm quitting the game. That makes it tough on me the rest of the way. A little added pressure.

I haven't won it yet. Big game on Wednesday to decide who the winner is.

I've been playing the game for a while now, and have sort of reached a ceiling. For the first couple years, you constantly update your team, buy/sell players, get recruits who can help right away, etc.. Seems like now, I don't have much that I can do with my team. It just seems like I'll be bouncing between III and IV for the foreseeable future.

My hatstats rating was higher by 6 points. Yup--that was a really big wussy event all right. Just a little worse that your wussy event in league play when I beat you. ;)
