If he's pegged to make a contribution to our 2010 run, and, under the circumstances it looks like there's no way he'll miss his chance, then I'd prefer he stay away from England altogether.

Bob? They can have him. We'll take Southgate as a field player. :)

The title of the thread gives false hopes.

Every American league needs someone as ugly as Randy Johnson.

He'll definitely get 90 minutes match fit in the Prem ...

... assuming he could land a starting spot with Boro.

It's probably the one league where he could get away with the reckless challenges he is prone to.

NOONE can get fit to do as much running around as Michael Bradley does. He just runs WAY TOO MUCH!

During the U20 tournament, it was very instructive to watch and compare Bradley and Szetela. One was a chaser, the other much more disciplined and economical in his movements. One was also much more tidy with his touches and also the better passer. I'm pretty sure I know which one is the better player and prospect in spite of the other getting all the pub and playing time during the past year.

Goddamit! When I first saw this thread title I was hoping it was Bob Bradley they were after. :p

Wouldn't be too surprised... Steve McLaren then Bob Bradley. :D

He's sold out on the mullet...it's now just the long-haired rocker look! Bah!

I mean - c'mon...Southgate...mullet, bad teeth, the first name Gareth, and ties that only come down to the middle of this torso. I think he might give 'Arry a run for the title of "Most quintisentially English BPL Manager"

    What's not to love?

Bradley playing for him would surely turn him into th marauding badass we all know he can be!!! :D

Well then, let's make sure he DOES NOT go to England.

Danny didn't play much with a Serie B side. Bradley was a big star for a top team in the Dutch league.

And one has shown up to many a training day with more body fat than your typical fan and is reportedly petulant.

With Danny, it's never been about the talent.

    What happened to Middlesbrough?

Did Mike tackle it from behind?

Actually Szetela has been playing quite a bit for Brescia.

But, yeah, in terms of the professional discipline in the lifestyle aspects of the game Szetela has been average compared to Michael Bradley.

Not sure if Michael Bradley is suited to the pace of the game in the Prem.

Hr needs to stay put for at least another year.
If he goes to the EPL and flops, he's playing reserve games or is loaned to a bottom feeder in the Championship, or a mid-level League 1 side.
He's a starter now, if he goes to the EPL it's for the money, which is understandable, but might be rather shortsighted.
He may turn out to be a very good player, you don't score 18 goals even in a bad first division league(and to be clear, the Dutch league is a farm system in Europe)and not have something going for you.
He's never impressed me at the national team level, he's no better than any other player at that position that's available, and I could care less what everyone that has always said he's "the man" has said.
20 years old and some upside, patience is a virtue, he needs to accept that at this point in his career.

Up to this point he has made nothing but good decisions for his career. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he'll make another good decision for all the right reasons.
