Could be a deliberate plant by Russian generals to make the public/international opinion more hostile to war. Especially the bit about securing oilfields first.
I am no military genius, but if we were to invade Iraq, it wouldn't make any sense to march right up into baghdad and start making attempts to clean the city out of Iraqi soldiers. The smart plan is to seize the oil fields, along with other major sources of resources and income from the government. Encircle Baghdad. And wait until either the soldiers all die of starvation, run out of bullets etc. This isn't a bombshell as far as I am concerned. With regards to the start date. With all the troop movement lately we are definitely getting our pieces together for the war.
I heard that we were going to start protecting ourselves next week because football season was over and we need something to do.
What happened to the November date that the Israeli denfense minister supposedly was told. Or one of the other dates (December, October, spring, summer, my guess, July 2013). Who knows. All warefare is based on deception -- play with your enemy's mind first.
