it was really just a matter of time before the Xbox just starts buying people off to make exclusives. looks like Metal Gear will now be a Xbox franchise http://www.computerandvideogames.co...ndvideogames.com/news/news_story.php?id=81184[/url] and there have even been rumors that Microsoft plans to buy off Nintendo by 2004....it's reported in the latest Xbox official magazine. They just bought Rare as well, so Perfect Dark is an exclusive to Xbox now. Supposedly they will also own Capcom soon.
Damn it. Konami is pretty stupid to allow this to happen. Besides, I don't want to get a bloody XBox and put MORE money in Bill Gates' pockets than I do already....

No suprise, it was only a matter of time before they started doing this as I'm sure this was in their original game plan (excuse the pun). Just as long as they don't buy off Rockstar games I'm perfectly happy. Hell, I've had a PS2 for almost a year now. I've rented like 2 games and only bought GTA3 and I feel like I got a bargain.

So be it, price the XBox at $600 and the games at $150, it's not like no one else in the world can make consoles. Microsoft would just eliminate themselves. I think buying out either Nintendo or Sony Interactive is just out of the question, those two companies would cost so freakin much it wouldn't be funny. The only thing that can be done if you buy them out is dissolve the company cause you wouldn't market two systems. You'd just have one system and that systems software makers, so why buy the system when you can just buy the software makers. It'll save you a crapload of money and it's a hell of a lot more efficient. It's not like Microsoft is going to buy out everyone either because each company they buy out, it increases the price for the next one. They are just gonna pick a few companies and let the dust settle a bit. I doubt Sony & Nintendo will start buying some either cause that's just adding fuel to the fire.
