Microsoft caves in to EA Sports on XBOX live

    isn't this more of a cave by EA to Microsoft? I think the initial reason why there was online versions for xbox is because EA wanted to run its own servers instead of running everything through microsoft.

    Either way, it's a great day for xbox users. Maybe EA will quit making all its xbox games 2nd rate ports of PS2 games and really try to use xbox's power.

    Microsoft did cave a bit, since the word is they reduced the amount they take from the sales of EA games that support Xbox Live. The big worry is that EA might begin requiring fees that are in addition to the cost of Xbox Live itself. This could be fine for additional content but not if it is something necessary just to play EA games online at all.
