newcastle is constantly plagued by injuries.
seems like they have a serious problem with their medical setup.

They showed Owen in the stands during tonight's humiliation against B'ham. I'm sure that will have encouraged him to get back on the pitch with this Newcastle team!

Seems you might have to wait longer.
Queries directed to their press office elicit the following replies :

From the first slo-mo replay of him twisting his leg, I thought his career was over. If he comes back at all it will be a miracle. Poor guy.

Its always deeply disturbing to see a player go down like that especially one of the coolest guys around (Owen).

Miracles do happen...but it seems mostly at Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjear came back from 2 seasons out, so did Van Nistlerooi. Pity Gabriel Heinz has failed to emulate.

Owen will still have his finishing and striking instincts when he comes back, weather he'll come back and be as fit or as quick is very doubtful.

That's what sucks. He was so good at using his speed to create his own chances.

Still I'm not convinced he won't make a complete comeback. It's doubtful of course but one can hope. You never know these days.

Its a shame that by the time he comes back he would have basically spent two seasons out injured. However it is better to not rush the come back like they did before before the world cup.

Its a shame Owen went down injured. Love watching him play. It was so odd how he went down, like he just collapsed.
