    I've just begun reading "Travels with Barley," this week, in which Jackson is referred to several times.

    Too bad.

    He was also an expert on scotch and wrote amazing tasting notes. His notes really helped me when I was first getting into single malts.
    I'll have a dram (or two) in his name this evening. I'd offer to pour some out for a fallen comrade, but I'm sure he'd beg me not to waste a single drop.
