what's bad for him is that Wolfsburg bought a 00 CB, then 00 Siersleben has been with 1st team entire preseason and even in EL+Cup. And now he's getting benched as the club is playing 2 02 CBs in Beifus (scored today) and Lang.

whether same age or younger, 4 players seem ahead of him.....

anyone who kept up with Wolfsburg would have known this. The 1st team updates was for all to see and then when 2 02s get upped early during preseason it's likely for them to play XI. Clubs don't up young players who can still play U19 to end up not playing.

also last season he got benched in II at some point in Fall as well. If others are rated more/ahead what does it have to do with me anyways? Any and all players not doing well is all on them too.

the lack of logic in some, if there is nothing good to report, has 0 to do with any poster. Does anyone here control any player's fate? Nope.

these threads aren't only about + updates but about any and all updates. Whether nice or not.

Outside of Tillman and maybe Malone, I can't think of any player who I post in threads that's doing that well.

if you recall Edwards went from 1st team training last Summer to continuing to be bencher in II. From rising to being outplayed by others. Besides reality that Wolfsburg isn't really an integration club anyways. They also don't rate RL/II anyways, they think it's a low level not good enough for dev.

Sousa is another player who went from 1st team training to being overtaken by others at HSV.

 

truth hurts sometimes guys. @Ger90 provides that. just because edwards probably won’t succeed at wolfsburg doesn’t mean he won’t succeed elsewhere.

 

he seems to have 2021 contract too.

02-Beifus had a goal and assist in 3-0 win too. What doesn't bode well for Edwards is that even with back 3......Edwards is benched.

Siersleben-Heuer-Rizzi (guy in his 30s)

in this season, Edwards ended up as back up CB to these 3.

2020-2021 season, back 3
Lang (02)-Klamt (guy in his 30s)-Beifus (02)

Edwards starts season as back up CB. Heuer is currently injured and Siersleben is with the 1st team.

the less he plays the harder it could to find a new club.

I don't think @Ger90 is eager to post negative info. I think that others are eager to post positive info. When there isn't something positive to report, we are left with nobody other than @Ger90 to be the bearer of bad news.

 

There are plenty of Americans over in Germany doing positive things. I guess that was my point, I never see you comment on them. My point was not to insinuate that you should make stuff up just to have positive news. Maybe you don't cover those players, which is totally fine. So out of Wolfsburg II's four matches so far: didn't come off the bench in the first, subbed on in the second and then has started the last two. From the all touch videos above he seems to have played pretty well, hitting the post off a header from a free kick and defending well.

 

werent there rumblings that the relationship had soured between edwards and the club?
