Miazga: Reading vs Cardiff 8.18.19

Reading up 2-0 on a brace from Puscas. Let’s see if they can keep a clean sheet.

Reading are playing with three CB and two WB. Miazga is definitely playing RCB.

 

30 minutes left and the backline really hasn’t been tested in the 2nd half. Miazga has been solid.

 

15 minutes left, Miazga hasn’t been top troubled. He has won a majority of his duels and probably above 80 percent on his passing including long balls. Minimized mistakes. When in possession, Reading has the three CB evenly cover the midfield line and it’s pretty aggressive.

 

Cardiff going for with 10 minutes left. They were exposed by Reading on the counter but Puscas doesn’t convert for the hat trick.

 

Cardiff exposed again and Swift scores on a 3 v 1 counter attack. Cardiff look pretty bad. Not the highest of bars to judge Miazga from.

Game finishes 3 - 0 to Reading. Miazga went 90 minutes. He played a very solid second half other than one bad foul, but they were already running away with the game. He did look a little awkward in the 3 CB formation today. So, we will have to see if Reading stick with this scheme.
