http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...romotion-and-relegation-in-North-America.html Alright guys, let say this does work and America finally approves of this move? and all the levels of soccer unite with Pro/rel? will you guys accept?
I don't care, won't happen in my life time. If NASL is so hot for it, start doing pro/rel with NPSL or something. We already have promotion, pay $50-100 million and your promoted.
That's what Peterson says will happen once NASL hits 20 teams. NASL will start working with the league(s) (NPSL) beneath it to inplement pro/rel .
You think it will work? i mean as shakey as that league is, I would like to see someone try this out on US soil. and if it does work, would MLS join the fun?
If I'm the guy that owns the Chicago Fire, there is no way that I'm doing this. The Fire are a member of the club. They can come in last for the next 20 years and they are going to be worth more than any NASL team.
He also said NASL will be at 20 teams within 2 years. Given Minnesota's departure to MLS, Atlanta likely folding due to the arrival of the MLS team, continued deathwatch for Edmonton, and rumors of Ottawa going to the CFL's rumored league, that's more than a doubling of the league in 2 years.. So, I think it is fair to say NASL reaching the point where it says it will start working on implementing pro/rel is very much in doubt. If it does reach that point, it depends on how they implement it. If they just open the gates and let any team in, then it is doomed to failure, imho. If they carry it out by requiring NPSL teams to pre-qualify to be NASL clubs before they'll even be considered for promotion, or require NASL qualified teams to join NPSL then win promotion, there may be a chance?
Released today was the new logo for the new Miami FC next season. Maldini and Silva did well here imo. i like it. i guess thats one logo and/or color scheme MLS Miami and Becks will avoid.
I wonder how many times the creator put a soccer ball in the middle and switched it to a globe? Still their officially one step ahead of MLS, they at least have a logo. Nothing else has been revealed and they start in 6 months.
im assuming more details will be released soon now that the logo is out. i might be in the minority here, but im really loving the logo. Maldini has a white polo that im willing to buy right now.
They went with a compromise.. The middle is a soccer ball wth two of the dark panels replace with North and South America.
Yea the colors are not only orange and blue its also aqua, i would like to see an aqua kit for the squad. Wonder what brand isngoing to provide their kits. Nike, Puma, please not Jomo i mean Joma, even NB, Umbro, Lotto, or Under Armour would be awesome
i honestly dont care too much for the brand, so long as the colors and kit design looks nice. ive seen horrible kits made by the top brands and some beautiful ones made by the bottom brands.
@Lucho305, speaking of which, which brand are me most likely to use? I dont know what connections Maldini have. maybe Kappa or Lotto would be a nice start.
I just saw on twitter that the guy who designed the Miami MLS Inter Miami FC kits, is working with the NASL Miami squad... Thoughts?
how reliable is the source? when they released that concept I loved it. only thing was the water texture im front of the shirt that looked bad. but everything else was fantastic. if its true theyre working together then theres a good chance we might get nice looking kits.
He's legit, my guess is they are using his talents. Still not a believer in the MFC and Becks MLS conspiracy theory.
Colors are okay for MFC...But I would switch the aqua & blue. Something like this, maybe. And since its not Miami MLS , I could go with the non art deco font.
