That was an awful PC. I mean I’m glad this is officially happening but that was a non event. Ticket holders got what they paid for
Yeah quite a letdown without the specifics. But at least its official in the eyes of MLS that we're in.
Solid ownership group I will say that. It would have been nice to get some update on the finality on the stadium situation.
The new team is scheduled to begin play in 2020, probably at a temporary site until the permanent stadium is ready in 2021. The team name, logo and colors will be rolled out in the next few months, with input from fans, according to Beckham and his co-owners. There have been hints black and white will be in the color scheme. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/mls/article197169104.html

Yeah I have read that the new team will begin play in 2020 more than once. But all they did today is go in circles about the ownership and Miami being awarded the team. They previously said just last week that the name, logo and colors would be announced today. So yeah disappointed, slightly. There were slight hints of pink and blue as well today in the lighting...black and white have been generic placemats many times. We can also say red, white and black were hints going by that. As the scarves were those colors. Eh...
Global and city were thrown around a lot too. Hmmm Inter Miami City SC. I remember when Nashville was announced it was within minutes that the MLS Homepage added a generic shield for them, but not for Miami.
Guess its time for someone to create a new...NAME FUTBOL MIAMI TEAM POLL...Since they obviously lied to everyone, about already having one to be revealed today... Miami City S.C. Inter Miami S.C. Inter Miami F.C. Athletico Miami FC etc ...

Congrats on being back! Would like to see some kind of ode to the Fusion in the colors (secondary kit?) but Beckham strikes me as a "it is all about this brand/clean break" kind of guy.
I would not want the secondary jerseys to be Fusion themed, but 2021 is the centennial of professional soccer in the United States, so it would be a great time for MLS teams to celebrate the local pro soccer heritage. A throwback or retro-inspired Fusion FC or original FtL Strikers jersey for a game or two that year would be awesome.

When will the revealing of the name, logo and colors be? Didn't they say by the end of February? Only 5 days left this month.
