Hey all, I remember seeing something on the boards not too long ago about MFL holding a draft of some sort. Has that happened yet? What kind of players were in it? (ie: any Americans, any of the recently unemployed players from some SA teams etc.). Also, are there any current Americans in MFL? I don't recall hearing about one since Ramos played for Tigres. Sorry for all of the questions, but this is the 1st I've heard about a football league having a draft outside of the US. Unfortunately, the coverage of soccer (even of our own league to say nothing of world soccer) is pitiful up north here. That's the big reason I stay out of all the MLS vs. MFL battles. I've never had the opportunity to actually see MFL games on a regular basis, and it's stupid to argue something with only half a perspective. Any info about this draft, Americans in MFL and MFL in general would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! JMac
the MEXICAN DRAFT. The draft consists of trading players to other teams and soo on like the NFL draft but.. There is a crisis there is too many players up for the draft and no one is taken. there were 346 players listed as tranferble only 125 were grabed by the teams of the 1st divsion.
Jacen how's your Spanish? Here's a link to mundosoccer.com they have a list all the players that were drafted. It's like what toot was saying every year each team puts out a list of transferable players. They all go into a pool, and every team has a crack. I don't know if there is an order, but it seems as if the two most recent teams in the first division signed the most players. Basically the only terms you need to know for this are: Jugador = Player Equipo Anterior = Previous Team Equipo Nuevo = New Team http://www.mundosoccer.com/despvar....torneosclub/mexico/ape2002/transferape02.html
