Teams like UNAM, Chivas, Monterrey, Monterrey faced America, Toluca, Cruz Azul Monarcas at home. So naturally their attendance will be even higher. Teams like America, Cruz Azul, Toluca faced teams like Atlante, Veracruz, San Luis at home. Sorry to say, but its just not worth going to go see them. Monterrey had the best home games. They faced Tigres, Toluca, America, UNAM, and Chivas at home. Their stadium capacity is 32K and they averaged 30K I expect those teams to draw less next season since they will face them on the road and thus facing the lesser teams at home. Toluca and America who were the best teams throughout the season suffered at the box. Its sad to say, but sometimes its just not worth going to go see a pitiful team.
i was trying to figure out the attendance for this season..and did a spreadsheet i couldnt get concrete figures. The FMF site only has the attendance figures as lleno (full), 1/2, 1/3, & 1/4. So this is how I did it. i just got the capacity of the stadium and divided by either a half, 3rd, or a 4th. Each team had either 9 or 10 homes games. I just added them up and divided it by how many home games were played this season. America - 110,000 55000 - half 36667 - third 27500 - fourth Chivas - 70000 35000 23333 17500 YOu guys now get the idea of how i got it.. AMerica - 44000 Atlante - 12667 Atlas - 25083 Cruz Azul - 18519 Guadalajara - 35000 Irapuato - 20666 Jaguares - 10000 Monaracas - 17407 Monterrey - 26650 Necaxa - 18741 Pachuca - 14584 Puebla - 17518 Queretaro - 20833 San Luis - 14200 Santos - 16667 Tigres - 42778 Toluca - 14574 UAG - 12000 UNAM - 40667 Veracruz - 21633 Avg. - 22209 Just by looking at other sites and articles about the attendance figures of some games, some of the figures from the FMF appear wrong. For example, there was this game for Pumas that had it a 1/4, but I clearly remember seeing the stadium more than full. THere was also a Puebla game during the mid week where it was almost full, but had it as a 1/3 full. THere were othr figures from other teams that didnt seem right. There were games that i remember watching that included Cruz Azul, Morelia, America, Chivas and Santos. So I think that average is a bit higher than 22209.. I'm guessing 25000-26000. I emailed the FMF to see if they could post actual figures, so if they do get back to me, i will post them up. just looking at the spreadsheet it amazing how some of the teams have improved this year. I see Pachucas & San Luis's attendance going up in the next 2 or 3 seasons. Thier are expanding the stadium and building more luxury suites. Pachuca has sold more than half of thier suites and they are not even ready yet. My hats off to Tigres.. full capacity at their stadium is 45000, they averaged 42778, and im willing to bet that its probably higher. Last season they sold half of the season tickets before the season started I didnt include Liguilla but those always have great turn outs. If you guys want to see the spreadsheet, i posted it in our (VS and I) MSN group site. http://groups.msn.com/MFLpredictionsleague/links.msnw You guys are welcome to join our chat sessions. Feel free to post pictures, stats, and the predicition league. We had a similar thing during the World Cup but MSN messenger only allowed up to 5 people in a chat session.. here we can have a lot of people join in on the chat sessions. ALso, for the predicitions league, i will make a spreadsheet and upload it onto the site, that way we can keep up with the scores a lot better. Just apply to join in on our chat sessions. Make sure you tell us who you are or we wont allow your membership.
? LA Galaxy average just under 22,000. nobody listed in the initial post averaged 44,000. Nine teams, however, beat out the Galaxy, a team for a region that has more Mexicans than all metropolitan areas in Mexico except DF. Don't get me wrong, most MLS teams would die for most of these #s, and it will be a long, long time b4 MLS can compete w/ MFL as far as attendance. I just would like to set the record straight.
DON't u think if america ,played in a another city.instead of DF....america asistance will be larger...well yes azteca..no one can beat it...but i guess seeing 40,000 fans in azteca..kinda looks empty....look how necaxa is doing now in aguascalientes...
Their stadium capacity should have something to do with it. I am suprised Monterrey is not in 1st place. Every match I see them playing at home is in front of a full crowd.
thats because you are getting the view from the top deck overlooking the adjacent stands. So you really dont see the top deck the way the stadium is built makes it look full. its dug into the ground
