Lets forget about the derogatory word on the back of the voodoo dolls, or the fact that once mexico start loosing they try to injure the other teams players. (Tim Howard)
Last night a member of the mexican coaching staff slapped Franki Hedjuk in the tunnel for chearing. What a classless, disrespectful sore looser Mexico is. Every time we play them there is something. Grown men acting like spoiled little children. Mexico you should be ashamed!

I thought the US showed good spirit last night and was definately the better side once they got the goal. But I want to give credit to Marquez for not what he did last night IN the game but AFTER when he made these comments:

Marquez was repentant following his dismissal.

"I am here to ask for public forgiveness," Marquez said in a press conference.

"I've already asked the same from my team-mates, the coaching staff and the federation, and now I want to apologise publicly to my fans, my country and the media for my conduct. I made an error and threw away all the hard work we had put in all week."

This is why Marquez is one of the few Mexican players I have respect for. I don't know what went through his mind during the match, but his ability to see his faults and respond to them in such a manner will certainly continue my fanhood of Marquez.......but only for Barcelona, USA!!! Mike Bradley!? love the family affair

This is the second time he's been sent off against the US... He's not learned anything, great "captain" they have.

I still don't understand how he stilll gets to be named the team captain  when he's just a dirty stinking player ! !

  7. Rafa just handed us the game there... Mexico was starting to put some offense together when he couldn't control his "ardido," and went after Howard. What a freaking idiot. He was about five feet from the ref who had a perfect vantage point on the whole thing. The look on his face was great too... "Who, me?" What a dumbsh*t. The whole stadium saw what he did. The mexicans choked again. There may be some question as to who is the more talented team, but there is no question who is more disciplined. Their COACH attacked Frankie in the tunnel after the game. It just makes our success all the more sweet that they handle defeat like a bunch of babies. The Mexican fans deserve better from their team, that is for sure. This could finally be our year to get a result in Azteca the way things are going.

You mean the people who throw cups of urine at our players? No, they deserve this.

I had not seen these remarks before. This is good, and props to Marquez for them. But where is the apolgoy to Howard? That would earn my respect.

He knows there is a white hot grill waiting for him back home and he is just trying to throw some water on it before he has to sit on it.

I think what he did was stupid. I really don't think he went in to hurt anyone. He tried to hurt Cobi and that is still with him.

I have never seen the guy play other then on the nat team. Is it a dirty player in general?

FC Barcelona would never put up with such behavior, nor would their fans. They expect a certain amount of class from their players that is clearly not demanded by the Mexican federation or their public. Also, the fact that, while Marquez is a very good player for Barca and they are glad to have him, they could ship him out in an instant and replace him with an equivalent player.

With mexico, he knows he is one of their best players and isn't going anywhere, so he is free to act like an idiot and likely nothing will happen. Sven will not/cannot drop him from the team.

The sad thing is it wasn't just one player! Leading up to the second goal Altiadore and Donavan were leveled! If a goal was not scored it would have been two cards! Mexican soccer is low class. The majority of the fans are turn coats, and the others are cursing, spitting and throwing urine at the other team’s players. The mexican int team and its fans are a disgrace.
I would like to see a couple of are player start playing more aggressive. We have been the good guys to long. I'm ready to see a US player step up and throw an elbow or a right hook. Let the P.O.S. know that there not going to be tolerated anymore. Personally I would be embarrassed if Mexico were my :mad:team!

Before we start generalizing about the fans being classless, lets not forget US fans threw a bottle at pardo last night. Both Countries have had classles palyers on their rosters.

    Oh no! One bottle!!

The nerve of PutoPardo holding it up waving it around was amazing.
