    In the Australian A-League on Friday, no flying start, but a flying end to the match. Melbourne Victory and Newcastle Jets competed against each other, but were surprised in the final phase by a number of uninvited visitors on the field.

    The duel was almost over in Melbourne. After the visitors had taken the lead midway through the first half, Charles Nduka had turned the score around with two goals in quick succession. Just before the start of injury time, Eli Adams did something back on behalf of The Jets. It was also his second goal of the evening.
    In injury time, the guests even went looking for a winning goal. The free kick they deserved, however, took a while. A whole pack of birds arrived. And they were just targeting the piece of grass where the free kick was to be taken.
    The Newcastle players decided at one point to just play football, because the birds had no intention of leaving on their own. It caused the necessary scare among the poor animals, but also among the Melbourne players, who had lost the overview for a moment due to all the visitors on the field. It almost gave The Jets a huge chance of the winning goal, but it didn't come to that. The match ended in 2-2.

    Spuds took a 2-1 lead over Brighton in the 76th minute. They were celebrating like they had won the game and in the league title.

    Two minutes left in stoppage time and Brighton ties the game. SMH
