    If Al Ahly have never been to a CWC/Intercontinental Final, it's because they didn't want to o_O

    They actually won the coin toss before the shootout - why did they choose to defer, knowing the stats?

    And yeah, any time you blow a 2-0 lead on penalties, you need to have a hard look in the mirror.

    The game sucked, but that Egyptian team is solid af. They constantly win their region’s title, hadn’t lost a game since the summer, are the backbone of the Egyptian NT, and I read that their federation rescheduled games to support and accommodate them in this tournament.

    Yeah they’re a solid team and always play with such intensity, that’s why I didn’t really like everyone saying fifa gave Miami an easy draw with them. Stranger things have happened but I’ll be very shocked if Miami can beat them

    Si no es el Ame, me vale madre. Not rooting, but happy for the Colimense keeper. Ojala y Real no vista de amarillo en la final porque ya sabemos que Pachuca da el doble del esfuerzo posible y hasta estan dispuestos a dar sus vidas cuando tienen a ese color enfrente de ellos.

    Rubens Valenzuela is the reason Pachuca got so fit that they made last year's version of best mls team ever look like a liga premier team. Even without the one month off and all the mls-like advantages the African teams receive at these tournaments, there's no way those Egyptians out-form us if he was still around. It was a huge loss and no one can replace him.

    I think it's likely CAF-based clubs are a lot worse than previous results in the cwc would suggest without context. These tournaments are tailored for their benefit.
