My thought is that many Mexicans in Mexican media would love a dollar paying gig in the U.S. You plant the seed for a gig on ESPN, Fox, TUDN, etc., by kissing the local U.S. product (MLS). Also, Martín del Palacio Langer lives in Europe (last I checked), in a place that has removed him from the reality faced by his counterparts working in Mexican media. He may not earn dollars, but he's making Euros. He's already infiltrated a foreign market, moved out of Mexico, and made it probably by playing nice with leagues, directivos, athletes, etc., in his part of the world. Lots of parallels. One difference between what he's done and what he is criticizing, is that no one is seriously comparing LigaMX with any European league. Had he remained in Mexico, he may be doing the same thing as those that are still there. Caveat: I like MdPL, I think he tries to be level headed, sincere, etc. In that same vein, I'm being sincere in my assessment.
The thing is that you're talking as if this is a media thing only when it's not only people in the press and they aren't precisely doing it for their own interest. There is a lot of people in Mexico who applaud this because it's from the United States and everything they do in the United States is better than Mexico to them because it's from the US. It becomes a part of you. You see a guy like Fernando Cevallos and yeah he might get paid because he now works with an MLS broadcast but then you see his Chivas post and see he is a Chivas fan and see that the guy is just a biased dope. People are just like that also most of it is in Twitter where people are being paid for that and it's not like FOX Sports head will look at Rodolfo Landeros twitter and give him a raise for defending MLS at the expense of Liga MX. People are just like that. Del Palacio moved to Spain but to his credit he's not as supportive of Spain as many people who move countries are. A lot of people who move to the US will probably fall on that. It happens everywhere. A lot of people from Puerto Rico have moved to the US in recent years. Sometimes they are article from experts in the news to tell people to be careful about moving to the US and how it's no guarantee and you can expect hard times if you move without making any plans of what are you going to do once you arrive. Almost always the comment section of those articles are FILLED with comments from Puerto Ricans in the US losing their mind about how the article is bullshit and how great they are doing and how much better they are now and how PR sucks and the US is great etc etc. The projection is outstanding and it's super clear this people got personally offended as if somebody was criticizing their decision or themselves as people. It's not like their employers are checking to see "hey check his personal internet history to see if he didn't defend the US or we will fire him". People are just like that.

I didn’t feel like searching for the beta thread, so I’m posting here... Mikel Arteta: “I’m suffering & I’m hurting. I’m hurting because I love this football club, I care so much about what we want to do. When I don't do things to perfection, I feel like I let people down & to live with that feeling is incredibly hard.” #afc pic.twitter.com/5qon5Cmjtq— afcstuff (@afcstuff) December 26, 2020
Translation : I am not quitting and leaving money on the table, if they want me gone, they’ll have to fire me and pay me all of the monies that I am owed.
Not a major surprise, but Globo in Brazil is inferring that Tite will line up a B-team for the Copa América. I wouldn't be surprised if other Conmebol teams (other than perhaps Argentina) make a similar choice, with WCQ fixtures in June and European clubs likely to bitch about any players called up for both competitions. On top of that, I'm still not 100% convinced that Australia will participate... Mexico could do a lot worse than stay in touch with Domínguez and co., just in case.
Lol at Chelsea spending all that money to be four points behind the pace from last year... Frank is a rook...
With the stupid 2021 Gold Cup happening and the stupid CONCACAF Nations League, there is no way Mexico can play in Copa America. 2020 was the perfect time for a tournament for Mexico, 2021 is the worst.

An expanded Concacaf Champions League is coming. Here's what it could look likehttps://t.co/K20kjfQlGu— Brian Straus (@BrianStraus) December 24, 2020
God, no. If anything they should do this for the rest of concacaf and have an inteliga like comp for Liga mx teams for a birth in the final.
Messi: "I've always had the dream of playing in another league, in United States. Maybe it will happen, doesn't have to be right away. Today I am just focused on these next six months."— Dermot Corrigan (@dermotmcorrigan) December 27, 2020 Man it's gonna be hilarious when Messi carries a MLS team to the Concacaf Champions League final only to lose to ********ing Puebla or something.
At least it would then be official, unlike the shenanigans Blazer pulled in 2010-11 (all the Mexicans magically on one side of the bracket).
