Lainez reminded me of Vela when he’s on his game. Lainez is quicker and not nearly as good a finisher, but if he can improve and be consistent yikes. Amazing the switch that occurred when he got on. Very promising.

Pretty significant achievement that. Good company for that award, I wonder if it will generate the same type of upward transfer that Bruno got. It would be nice to see him play on a bigger stage more often than just the odd televised Champions League game.

Not to post about the US players here but McKennie was pretty good too. Kid can flat out float in the air, at times like CR7.

Other than the goal, he was largely kept in check. Our midfield was pretty slow and he was still quiet. Can't take the goal away from him but defending set pieces is not our strength... Anyway, I don't think he's got anywhere close to the ceiling of Reyna and I think most US fans overrate him. Pulisic is very talented but he was also quiet other than the PK. I don't think he has the same mental attributes/attitude that Reyna has...

I still think it is going to be a dicey qualification for them, might be for Mexico too. Especially, on the FIFA dates with 3 match days experience and depth are going to be big factors. One or two major injuries or suspensions and that can mess up a whole set of FIFA dates.

Ticos are getting slammed right now but I think they phoned this game in and friendlies are bad bell weathers for future success.

I could see Jamaica and Canada doing damage these qualifiers. On paper the talent is there for both teams.

What is everyone thought on Guardado? I think he's past his prime but I realize we don't have much to work with, the same sad situation as always. Thanks liga MX!!!

I think one of Jamaica or Canada will qualify. At least to the continental playoff. They have the talent

They don't have the depth. If everyone stays healthy then yes, but that's a big if.

I would never bet on Canada doing anything in the qualifiers. They’ve always played so abysmal and who can forget the Honduras game

They have Davies, Jonathan David, and a couple of other young duses scattered in Europe but none that see a ton of playing time and that one duse who played at Cruz Azul:D...

If they lose either Davies or David, they're fvcked.

This is true, though I think Jamaica might pull the surprise. They have enough to get that 4th place I think

Canada has good quality up front, but that defence looks weak.

Jamaica seems a more balanced squad even if their defence seems its stronger deparment. I think for CONCACAF, Jamaica could be more dangerous.

Unlucky they shared group with Curacao, but well, one of their "stars" plays for California United Strikers.

Me entendiste mal o quizás me exprese mal.

no men, mira.

I think he is a good player but it’s not as easy to blame the loss on him for the missed penalty.

He is a bench option until someone else replaces him.

He is not an automatic XI player he once was.

He isn't a terrible player but definitely can still be useful as a second half option.
