Man....it can get pretty bad here....not 115-120 but triple digits isn't out of the ordinary during the summer

People making a big deal of the crowd as if the team is going to hurt and "change" things when they don't even have any clue about the real problems with the NT.

    Exhibit A
No friendly hurts Mexico as Chivas not selling Piojo to Flamengo and not selling Jesus Orozco to Anderlecht (as they have the starting centerbacks of the U20 NT, who haven't gotten any meaningful playing time with Chivas at all) and yet nobody mentions at all while they are bitching at the FMF for scheduling Valencia, when the type of option the NT for that friendly would have had would have been Sri Lanka or Bhutan since nobody else was free.

My understanding is that piojo turned down the offer not Chivas. Chiquete not being sold sucks but I can see why the club would t sell as it would leave a very weak defensive line. Hopefully he recovers and can be sold during the summer.

Difficult to assess since New Zealand is semi professional but I think it’s safe to say we’ll be world champions next World Cup

WTF does one have to do with the other? Obviously there are bigger issues at hand on why our NT and just our fútbol in general currently sucks. I was making an observation that it’s refreshing to see that our fans didn’t pay ridiculous prices to see a shit product

Supposedly Chivas blocked the first offer from Flamengo and Orozco wanted to leave, Chivas didn't sell him because it was too close to finding a replacement (to play the fvckin Leagues Cup) just for him to get injured and be replaced regardless. And it's always this and that with clubs and fans. Rayados fan make fun of the "no one showed up" when their team just signed Fidel Ambriz, so that he didn't go to Anderlecht and now he can take the playing minutes from Cesar Garza and Iker Fimbres, so you can now have three young mexican players getting affected (and don't get me started on the Martinez).

The product is jackshit because people keep bringing up stupid solutions to low priority problems and totally ignoring the main issues. Fans are all clamoring for the low attendance which is almost meaningless and then ignoring the big issue which is that only 1 Mexican player moved to first division play in Europe (2 to U20), did so in spite of the club and only to Denmark. And your club was one of the guilty parties this summer.

Denmark here, since you mentioned us ... We find the US NT and league to be a poor mans "Switzerland", I mean Switzerland did well at this past Euros because they were in the lucky half of the draw, so fair enough, but now they are struggling as expected at the bottom of a group with Spain and Denmark. Spain is the European Champions, but Switzerland last win against Denmark was in 1984, so 40 years ago and in all they have only managed two wins ever vs Denmark and with 60 years in between (1924 and 1984)

I guess mexican teams should go broke so that players will want to make the jump.

Or maybe Mexican clubs fans should pressure clubs and not applaud them or make excuses for them like saying they will go "broke" for not selling a defender to play their Leagues Cup which is not only a billion times worse than any molero but then be the only club full of fans selling out stadiums was Chivas only to not get out of the group for a second straight one.

Newsflash, European club football is going to be the mecca for club football and if there is a .01% chance that somebody knocks them, it's sure as hell wont be Mexican Football who will.

Definitely going to blame the Mexican clubs for this one. They’re not going broke any time soon paying 10 million for average mid 20 year old Mexican playing for their third liga Mx team. The huescas debacle showed how ignorant they are in terms of handling players but it’s nothing new, it’s been common knowledge for decades

The thing is that it might have been for decades but things have changed. You are no longer going to be able to be the clearly 3rd best team in the Hemisphere with an all Liga MX team like in 1999. While Mexico had been slow in exporting, they were on the way up and it's only recently that they have regressed in this and lo and behold it's the biggest crisis in years for the NT, including for the first time ever not being the best team in CONCACAF.

I know BSMXers don't believe that fans have a say but I'm glad they played in half empty stadiums. The cash cow isn't a 100% sure thing.
