I don't care what the score is as long as after 90 minutes, Mexico has at least one goal more than Honduras. Couple that with a US-TnT tie, and Mexico can clinch a world cup birth with a win vs. El Salvador.

Nothing would be better than turning match day 10 into a cascarita at the beach.

Honduras' forwards don't scare me. We will contain them. I do think they have some quality midfielders though. How long until Vela and Rafa return? A week or two?

honduras wont get those easy goals on wednesday

under vasco, our defense has improved

in 12 games, we have 27 goals in favor and only 6 goals against us..

not to mention, memo has stepped it up under vasco. only receiving 3 goals in 9games and none of those goals were his fault (although blas perez' goal is debatable)

Both of these teams have grown with confidence and are playing great futbol. Mexico has had trouble with Honduras so Im not expecting a 4-0 outcome, however, it is possible (hence the costa rica game)

Mexico should come out with the victory (2-1) I'm glad to see Cacho being incorporated with the team. He's a great passer and has more versatility than Sabah and Franco. I also think that Franco might not see any more call-ups. He hasn't been producing much neither as a starter nor a sub. So, this suspension might be very costly.

Some of the 'Catrachos' seem pretty confident of getting a positive result in Azteca, fortunately Mexico's most vulnerable moment has passed so I envision a triumph for us.

In other news, glad to see Cacho get called in but no replacement for Torrado? I mean last time around against the Hondurans at Azteca Pavel was crucial with his goals and yet no consideration from Aguirre? I suppose it'll be Juárez alongside Israel on Wednesday.

from the last visit to honduras, the only returning starting players are OCHOA, MAGALLON, SALCIDO, and GUARDADO. Nery and galindo both played in april but i wouldnt be surprised if neither will play on wednesday.

not to mention, sven had magallon at right-back and salcido in the middle. that stupid shit is not happening on wednesday.

look at the lineup sven put on the field in april

    --------------------ochoa-------------------
    magallon------lopez-------salcido-------pinto
    --------------pardo-------leandro-----------
    -----lucho perez------------------guardado--
    --------------bravo---------vela------------

imagine if that same lineup was going on the azteca field in 2 days?

With Torrado out, I think this will be and am looking forward to a guardado, castro and juarez midfield.

    i agree

i would even go as far to say that they are tougher than the U.S.

our defense/mid has to deal with amado guevara, rambo de leon, ramon nunez, carlos pavon, carlo costly, and.....david suazo

I have a feeling their are going to attack with everything in the first minutes and try to overwhelm Mexico, if they manage to score as they are planning they well then go in to spazzo mode and try to counter with long balls to suazo and costly
