    that's if he succeeds

mls is a very different from the mexican league

even if mexico is better, they play different in mls and it could throw him off his game

You fvcking Chivas USA fans are really nothing but hipocrits now... YEAHHH... our players should start going to the MLS because it is a better trampoline to Europe.

He chased the money. Plain and simple. Vergara can pay a lot of dough and this was the making of his agent. Why couldnt he go to Argentina?

Does Pescadito Ruiz get his name by just flopping all over the field trying to get PK's called in his favor?

I never said the MLS is better than the MFL. It's just better for sending players to Europe.

The Trinidadian league and the jamaican leagues sends more players to Europe. What? Should we send out players there so they can use those leagues as a trampoline?

We should not be sending players to the MLS.

The Argentine league is better for sending players to Europe, why not there?

Sending a player to an experimental club like Chivas USA (which I am still very skeptical about thier committment to winning and inclined to say they care more about thier marketing practices), for what???

Loquito didnt have that option or what? I think it would of been better for him to play in the Argentine league for free than Chivas USA.

Speaking of which--- Can Carmona and the other guy go to another league and play? Since they are only suspended with things the FMF is affliated with.

But you also have to look at what his options are. I didn't see any Argentian teams knocking down his door to sign him. Also if you had to pick between using a league in the U.S. or a league in Jamaica or Trinidad as a trampoline which would you use? I don't really want to get caught up in a senseless, drawn-out argument with you so that's about all I have to say on the topic.

As good as he is, still I don't think he had any offers from any team form Argentina, or anywhere else.

The only reason the MLS is better at sending players to Europe is because they have a salary cap, and all contracts are owned by the MLS not the individual clubs. Loquito's contract isn't with Vergara and Chivas USA its with the MLS.

The difference in price between the MLS and the MFL is astounding.

It's been said on these forums that for the price of a Mexican, a Euro club can pick up two Brazilians or two Argentines. Well for the price of one Mexican a European team can probably pick up 3 or 4 MLS contracts.

    No muerdas!
Pretty cool story....I bumped into Omar Bravo, Alberto Medina & Jesus Corona at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica about 2 hours after the game ended. They were all showered up, in warm suits and walking around the mall. I told them to keep it up, they would win the World Cup. Bravo & Medina just grinned & said "Ojala", Corona seems to have a stick up his ass though....didn't say one word. After I started talking to them they got mauled by paisanos wanting autographs (looks like no one really thought it was them, until the heard us talking about the game).

BTW, Bravo & Medina are about 5' 7" & thin, Corona is very tall though (at least 6' 3" and not very skinny, but he has a big face).

Corona is not 6'3", he is 176 cm which is not even 6 feet (about 5'10, 5'11). Thats a cool story though, i hope i get to see them here in Houston are going to be here for wednesday's game and Sunday's quarters, and I live 5 minutes from their hotel. They always walk around the galleria (their hotel is right across from it). Anyone knows when they get here?

Thats a cool story. Were they in the mall or outside on the Promenade?
I went to a wine and cheese party their once. Really high class (all white). Made out with some girl on the balcony overlooking 3rd st. Was telling her stuff in Spanish. She really dug it. Blacked out, next morning the girlfriend called me pissed as hell and crying.

Apparently I called her and told her that the girl I was making out with was sucking me off as I was having the conversation over the phone.

    What balls.

    What an idiot.
