good game. Mexico had it pretty much under control since the beginning. Alberto Medina kicked major a$$. Beto Medina and Hector Altamirano were my fav players today. it was good to see the team taking more outside shots.

overall decent game. I didnt like the roster.

After this, I really dont think we can consider Group 2 (in the WCQ) as the group of death.

I just saw first half and it looked really bad, maybe it was the foolishness of MAza.

I liked the shooting from the outside that they did.

That's the only thing I didn't like........ Maza, Hugo Sanchez, and even Galindo seemed very tentative.

Medina scores on debut as Mexico beat Guatemala 2-0

NEW YORK, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Striker Alberto Medina scored nine minutes after coming on for his international debut as Mexico beat Guatemala 2-0 in a friendly in the Texan city of San Antonio.

The 21-year-old, who plays for Guadalajara, replaced Hector Altamirano in Wednesday night's game and hammered a left-foot shot by Guatemala goalkeeper Miguel Klee in the 69th minute.

Mexico had gone ahead two minutes earlier when Daniel Osorno, another 60th minute substitute, beat Klee with an angled shot after latching on to a Francisco Fonseca pass.

I enjoyed the game last night. The artificial turf seemed really fas t and also slippery for the Mexicans players that tried to stop fast or change directions quickly. I read an article the UEFA approved synthetic grass for official games in Europa next year...it will be interesting to see if any Euro soccer stadiums go to that full-time. I like the stuff for football but not futbol.
