Those fabulous saves were made by Oswaldo Sanchez.

Oswaldo Sanchez looks a lot younger than he is... isnt he in his 30s?

    he turns 31 in september

I think he is one of the top 10 goalkeepers in the world, very quick, good acceleration, great ups (makes some amazing saves), really good reflexes.

Only weaknesses: sometimes makes dumb passes from the back and sometimes doesnt commit when he has too in crosses.

Don't forget about his real bad temper. Sometimes I feel he is a ticking time bomb.

He seems intense, but he doesn't seem that bad. Jens Lehmann, that's a guy with temper issues.

I've noticed that, too, but that's part of his appeal. ;) I am so enamored with Oswaldo's skill that I tend to overlook his bad points, and he doesn't have many of those, anyway. He is a treat to watch because he loves the game so much, and is so focused. He wants to improve, all the time. Although he probably knows he's one of the best goalies out there, he isn't resting on his laurels. He WANTS to get better, all the time.

Oh, and yes, he IS hot. A sight for sore eyes, indeed. :))

Oswaldo and Memo Ochoa fight it out in my dreams, I should say. Oh my!

Are you saying this from what you herd on the field mics( vamos cabr*nes) or from other times hes crossed the line...seriously I dont think Oswaldo has a bad temper, nor i remember him crossing the line.

I don't see anything wrong with a "vamos cabrones" here and there. Whenever I've watched Oswaldo, I've appreciated his intensity and focus. He's one of my favorite keepers. I've never seen him lose his cool the way Jens Lehmann (for lack of another example) has. I know a lot of people don't think keepers should be captains, but his leadership is obvious.

Sanchez has been ruling the box this year. Him and that guy from Barcelona (Valdez?) been making ridiculous saves, and playing consistently.

IMO, all the other so-called great keepers weren't very consistent.

talking about O. Sanchez, i believe that right now he's the best goalie in Mexico and maybe latin america. But he should watch his back, if Memo Ochoa gets more playing time, he seems as a threat for Oswaldo.

I doubt it. Memo Ochoa, in my opinion, is the 2nd best Mexican golie out there. I would rank them like this:

    Oswaldo
    Memo
    Corona

Oswaldo is a lock for Germany 2006 where he is going to be 33 years old. i doubt it that he will be in South Africa 2010. Hes going to be 37 and Mexican goalies have not really had that longetivity. This is the Age of Oswaldo, Memo will have his 2 or even 3 World Cups later, hes very young.
