Argentina did to us what we did to the US except that, you know, Lautaro can finish. At the end of the day Tata is not the amazing tactical genious the US media is trying to sell, he is as much of a "bad" or "good" coach as Berhalter
I get it...But this ruco loves to compare us to the US when they shouldn’t be our measuring stick border.
Just my personal opinion, but I would be all for Mexico to move to CONMEBOL. CONCACAF won't allow it, but I honestly don't think its doing you any good to remain here. Playing weak teams on a regular doesn't help the culture shock when taking on someone like Brazil or Argentina. The gulf in class is just huge, but take Peru for example. We're used to taking on these teams, so that makes things even. Mexico literally get one or two chances every other year to play such sides competitively. If Mexico was in CONMEBOL, you'd compete well. Once you get used to taking on our teams, you'd fight to get to the World Cup every single time. You have the weapons to do it, and you are more than good enough. Think about it, Australia improved heaps since moving to AFC (at least for me) because there was simply no competition beating the same teams by more than 3 or 4 goals.
Mexico can compete with the tough sides but they aren't good enough to compete without a good strategy. Unfortunately the strategy wasn't good today and the team fell completely because of the bad play of certain players. When Mexico has a plan they can pull results like they did against Germany in 2018 but when they plan is bad it can go like they did against Germany in 2017.
I agree 100%. I am not saying it's impossible (hell, you have been Brazil's black sheep for a long time) but I think moving to CONMEBOL will have your team improve. You have a quality side, with some top players like Tecatito, Chucky and Jimenez, however there is often a culture shock with not being used to playing top sides and that can affect a team in some cases. Again, that's just my humble and silly opinion.
CBs have no chem and Araujo made some AYSO mistakes. Ive never liked the idea that all 3 mids play way to high as the laterales push, leaving slow CBs to try and recover on their own. I also noticed we hardly tried to switch the ball to the weak side, as if we were scared of making that long ball. El machin la cago getting a yellow early on a stupid play. I like Jona, but hate when he gets into that quick touch pass back to the midfield instead of holding and turning towards the goal.
Maybe the federation should offer Diogo Jota Mexican citizenship and a job with El Tri. Looks like his chances of playing with the Portuguese NT are smaller than scarce, and with all the quality forwards they have Portugal wouldn't even care anyway.
A bunch of chicken littles overreacting. Move to COMEBOL, fire Martino, we suck, we are the greatest. Relax
He believes this result does not reflect the reality just like his 11 game unbeaten streak did not reflect it. Basically saying, no pasa nada.
people seriously need to stfu about this moving to conmebol shit...might as well start the uefa movement....
