"debris being thrown onto the field at Donovan" When we sink to thier level, then I'll apologize. Until then Mexico is still scum. 6/17/2003 USA2 Mex0
Man ... first i must admit this is the first time i watch azteca tv. From time to time, two Hernandez and Blanco looking puppets come on to screen and talk trash about our players. One time when Beaz was down, i swear to god they said the word Negro. I don't know it is suppose to be offensive or not but roomful of mexicans sure laughed like a bunch of chihuahua dogs
Re: You can still play Olympic Soccer Congratulations, VS. Mexico deserves this berth. The rest of you are just sore losers. Grow up, will you?
Negro isn't a bad word in Mexico. In the US though, "Moreno" has become the adopted word in order to comply with PC culture.
Thanks. it is good to see some taking it well. Always root for your team no matter who it is. And we look forward to next time.
First of all "negro" is black is spanish and its not disrespectful AT ALL. And second, after the stunt that Donovan and his bladder pulled at Jalisco, he was lucky they didn't throw a freakin toilet at the field. He ran his mouth and his bladder before the game and he got outplayed and bitched around. dc, keep jacking off to the 2-0, its good for your self - esteem
1. Congrats to Mexico, good luck in Athens. 2. Anyone that's spent any amount of time on the field on professional soccer practices knows better than to walk around without shoes on - if you know what I mean.
Actually, this does deserve attention and/or scrutiny. Apparenly, the Americans had been pretty good in getting into the Olympics through CONCACAF because not enough of its membership, IMHO, took the competition as seriously as, say, the Pan-American Games. Recall: the US did NOT send a Pan Am team. And the winners' list (seen elsewhere in this thread) is a litany of failure when it comes to the U23s and their potential. Where was France between 1984 and 1998? Where are Nigeria and Cameroon, soccer-wise? All I say is, "see you at Columbus." Bwahaha.
We (USA) lost. Mexico won. It was a game - a big game. Mexico played better and deserved to win; just wish I could have seen it (I think. ). Life goes on, get over it. Show some sportsmanship. Good luck to Mexico and Costa Rica in Athens. I'm still looking forwards to the MLS season, WC Qualifying, and Olympic soccer (sadly without USA and Brasil).
Re: Re: Mexico still scum. Another thing that bites about this is that the slim chance of seeing any Olympic soccer on television here just got a lot slimmer. Thank goodness for Telemundo, Univision, and Azteca America. Good luck to Mexico - they played a great game and handed us our butts.
This (the above comment) is sad and pathetic. It shouldn't be tolerated by anyone who has/had any interest in last night's game. I hope some kids in your neighborhood discover who you are and sling the most vile, putrid, gut-wrenching garbage all over your property and your arrogant self.
