Our job on defense might have just gotten a little bit easier. Their real options now are Bravo, Vela, and Dos Santos up top. Bravo doesnt give us any trouble at all. But Im suspecting we get one of the youngsters starting this thing, and its most likely Vela. Does Borgetti get the call? :p

No Bravo, it's Cacho, Vela, De Nigris and Dos Santos.

After thinking about this thread I've decided that it doesn't matter who Mexico brings, fields, fires-off or whatever. Its us against them. I can't wait.

    According to the link...

    WHO'S OUT:

    No Castillo (shoulder injury)
No Osorio and No Guardado (muscle discomfort)

No Pavel Pardo, but it doesn't say why...

    WHO'S MAYBE:

Héctor Moreno - Highly unlikely to be called because he just joined his new team a few days ago.

    WHO'S IN:

Vela, dos Santos, Nigris, Márquez (who recently recovered from a left leg concussion, missed last Barca match!)
Salcido is also in and from the pre-olympic tune up squad the following are expected to be called:

Jonny Magallón, Israel Castro, Fernando Arce, Jaime Correa y Juan Carlos Cacho

Damn it, I would have liked to have seen their lineup with either Castillo or Guardado with Vela/Dos Santos. Oh well. They still got a talented side. I really just don't want to hear excuses if we win this damn thing.

Yeah, you're right. Well, I guess I was just hoping for a true full MEX squad. But injuries happen. Whatever. It's not as if we'll have our true full squad either. I guess overall, the teams will be at the same level in terms of the true starter/future starter/injuries that matter ratio!

"We were the better team tonight. They did not even try to attack. They just sat back and countered. Their two goals were lucky, especially that Donovan one."

    There you go.

Zinha scored a goal in their last win against us in the poison chamber, so Sanchez is probably looking for a psychological boost there. That's a nice roster despite no Nery.

It will be interesting to see how they align the selected players. Wing forwards galore.

Wow, I am surprised that Mexico is bringing its top guns for this match, the way the U.S camp looks right now we look really outmatched for this game. Hopefully with the Euros and maybe even some U-23's here and their we can pull another 2-0 win. GO USA, 2-0 FO' LIFE!!!

I wouldn't say we're bringing our best players, some of our top guns are with the U-23 olympic team. I would've like to seen players like Barrera, E. Castillo, and Cesar Villaluz because it would've strengthen our midfield.
