VfB goal scorer Ricardo Osorio: "Of course I'm delighted about my first goal for VfB. It's not important who scores the gaols though, it's all about presenting ourselves as a team and offering our fans attractive football. I'm really happy to be playing in this team and hope that we can be successful again next Friday against Berlin."

Thanks for the info. I would have bet money on Pavel Pardo to score before Osorio,in a free kick or something. but good for him.

Pardo scored 1 goal in an other game .Both integrated very well into the team and doing good .
Stuttgart is on the second place just now , that would qualify directly for CL.

They are saying that Pavel Pardo will not play next game because he got a yellow in the firt half, and that would make it five for the season.

One song was : Steht auf wenn ihr Schwaben seit ( stand up , when you are Swavian )

we have a lot of different songs , too many to list .Plus each team have some of their own songs as well .....

We should create our own songs , like we do ! In two languages....
Everything will grow , our songs too .

I heard in Germany the stadium announcer says the first name and the crowd says the last name.

    We should do that:

Anouncer: Ladies and Gentlemen, the goalscorer #25 Brian
    Crowd: Ching!

  16. Re: Mexico fan's: Osorio's first Bundesliga goal!

    we should do this hahahahahaha....

he sings in spanish first, then german, then italian... the same song  hahahaha i don't know if he was really singing in those languages, but at least it sounds like he was.

Sounds like such a good idea but Americans don't know what a true atmosphere is... I don't know if it would work here. Also, they showed a shot of the crowd and two whole sections had supporters with arms outstretched with scarves in their hands.

Re: Mexico fan's: Osorio's first Bundesliga goal!

I tried to get us to do that Bundesliga-style calling out the player's last name during introductions in 213, once they upgraded the PA midseason and you could actually hear the introductions. But we were usually singing right thru the introductions, no big deal.

And as far as holding up scarves goes, have to note that that is exactly what schwabe13 was doing when he was shown on ABC in a crowd shot during the shootout at MLS Cup...

This season more and more fans will get scarves , and there will be a time ,
when a whole section (like 213 ) will hold them up ...

According to my rep, they may not do scarves this year as the gift. Nothing concrete was planned (so they could happen) but they were hoping to give a different type of gift every year. Just a thought, though I'd rather get a new, bad @$$ scarf every year....

That's already done at all Houston Texans' games during pre-game introductions. I'll admit, it does add a great deal of atmosphere!
