I forgot where I read it... but apparenlty Ramon morales will be out.

So that means no Dulio Davino and no Ramon Morales...

    who should get the call??

I say give Beltran another chance at center back or Mascaro (Puebla). Cabrera, Alamaguer are still good players but old. Beltran and Mascorro are either 25 or younger.

Morales... hmm who should replace him at left wing or mid (dpeneding the lineup)???

Medina plays the left. Parejita Lopez (but he is on the right, but can also play the left).

Id like to see some of Cruz Azul's players on there... Ledesma, Campos, Gutierrez, Cacho

    Palencia should get a call
    along with Cacho

That would probably help us with our "gol" problem

Tomas Campos should take over Ramons spot while he is out

    P.S. arent we playing Portugal?
i also heard we were playing Nigeria

    back in el defectuoso
Lavolpe has mentioned players that are going to be called up for the Gold Cup:
From Cruz Azul: Conejo, Palencia, Melvin Brown, Zepeda
    From Pumas: Mariano Trujillo

They hadn't been used yet because of their team's participation in Libertadores.

Get rid of borgetti and get bautista in there i am tired of watching borgetti have so many chances to score and misses most of them. This team needs someone who could score that should be the number one goal!

Yes, cause Borguetti has only scored goals in many key games for Mexico. WC qualifiers, WC, Copa America, etc.

If someone has to be rid of is Daniel Osorno, who doesn't even start for Atlas anymore.

I know borguetti has scored many goals i danced like travolta when he made that header against Italy, but its time for some new blood in the front. I love Blanco but he is more suited playing like an attacking mid, bautista seems like he could become a great player. He is young and has some fresh legs. I agree with you that Osorno does not belong here. Palencia was playing great in the libertadores maybe he should be given a chance again.

Its time for good players more than new blood. There is more than enough room for Borguetti. He has been better than Bravo and any other forward that Lavolpe has called. Bofo should be given a chance but in another forward spot. After Borguetti, Bofo and maybe Bravos, the only that seems good is Cacho. Palencia has never played as well for the Tri as in Azul and if Blanco didn't "fit "with Lavolpe, Paco will do less.

Marquez is back in Monaco after signing with Barça, and though he has two more games to serve undressed he'll head back for Copa Oro this week. Would only play from quarter finals onwards.

Then if Mexico makes the final he'd join the Barça US tour after the 22nd.

Well I wish we had Marquez, Davino and Carmona to play aganist Brazil... they're (to me) the most important men on the team, also Ramon Morales and Pavel Pardo are important, but no, Davino and Morales are injured, Marquez is suspended...

I just hope the guys remember they're playing for Mexico, they need to leave everything on the field give all their effort and even more if if needed... I was very dissapointed to see the game v.s El Salvador, the players showed no backbone, it was really really sad.

I trust Lavolpe, tho I don't like most of the players who are part of the national team right now, some of them don't have the talent to be there, hope he realises that soon, and start looking elsewhere to find those players he needs (Cacho,A.Galindo,Luna, Blanco,Diego Martinez, J.A Castro, and the list goes on and on, players who in my opinion, deserve to be on the team)

No se que más necesiten, pero los que estan para jugar la Copa de Oro, aunque no sean ningunos cracks, deben de dar todo su esfuerzo, morirse en la cancha...si no pueden hacer eso, entonces si...ya valimos.

    Mexico - Brazil [R]

Mexico wins in an ugly win.

1-0.....with a beautiful goal by Borghetti.

What did you guys think of the lineup and each individual player?

good game for mexico, with little they have in 2003 vs 2002.... more experience players made the mark as needed vs unlucky brazilerios

they hit the post (tiago) and nilmar showed very little in the middle of the forwards...... he is better at the local liga..... diego could not do it all by himself...

where was Kaka... that grp needs more work that lavolpes grp....

la tribuna chanted the name of hugo, hugoooo and 4 minutes later they were chanting a beautiful goal by the best mexico has to offer today : JARED, hey do not get me wrong, I like patino (america, not ther today) and I admire a whole lot arellano

osorno came from the bench to save lavolpes arseees again!

There are so many players in this Lavolpe team that are not NT material (Chiquis, Zepeda, Juan Pablo, Octavio Valdés, Bravo, Osorno - yes, even though he basically created the goal). On the positive side, the defense seems to be OK, but we had no creativity on attack. Arellano was lost, and lately he's the only one capable of creating danger.
