I was flipping channels last night and came across a game on Telemundo. It was a Mexican League All Star Game! How long has this game been held? Just curious as to whether or not someone with the Mexican league has been watching MLS. It kind of seemed like a cheap immitation.
To anticipate the replies you will get, although I'm not an expert Mexico has had some of these types of games in the past. It's not a good sign when your first post is both starting a new thread in troll-like fashion
Liga Mexicana doesn't need to take lessons from Major League Soccer. Granted the game was terrible, but what is this "cheap imitation" stuff? The MLS All-Star Game is a bunch of baloney as well.
The MFL has been comercializing their Championship similiar to the EPL., for example the Mexican league season is called the Apertura/Clausura "COMEX" 2003, next year or when the contract runs out it might be another sponser. They also sold the names to the Leagues Champions Champion Cup which is a match to be played betwen the Apertura and Clausura champs. The All Star match was also paid for by some sponser, dont know i didnt watch it. Anyways the game sucked because of bad timming since it was held one week before the final round of the season which had as many as four teams still trying to secure a spot in the playoffs.
That's not what they told the players...kinda explains all of the rough and rash challenges don't it?
No gracias! If anyone else wasn't able to catch that "All_Star" game....feel blessed. I could only stomach the first half. Cantor made special note that this match was played at bad timing with the remaining clubs.
I'm in favor of promoting a yearly MLS Vs MFL all star game. Each year the rotate the city and country. I garantee that more than 50k will show every year.
