kewl..... I hope that they see some action on Saturday night! The whole situation makes me feel a little bit sad about Joe Addos plight however.
I just hope the game doesnt get rained out. I dont know what the situation is with turf. MetroStars: 3 (Mathis 2, Guevara) Dallas: 1 (Davis)
Metros are due for a stinker after winning 4 in a row: Burn 2 (Davis 27', Kreis 70') Metros 1 (Guevara 9') D.J. Countess saves a PK in the 2nd half. Davis will be pumped up for this one to prove the organization wrong. Will be missing my first home game this season....can't miss the Nets capture the Eastern Conference crown a few feet away Nets 88 (Jefferson 23 pts, Kidd 11 assists, Martin 9 rebounds) Pistons 83 (Hamilton 20 pts, Billups 8 assists, Wallace 18 rebounds)
While New Yorkers from across the Holland Tunnel watch in sheer horror as New Jersey collects three championships in a single year.
Wow Roehl, hadn't thought about the potential triple crown. And they say Anaheim has the magic going. It's all about JERSEY baby.
Metros, Nets, Devils...finally some action here on the East coast.. Metros 3 Burn 0 Mathis scores a hat trick. If he doesn't, either Guevera or Magee scores the 3rd goal. Timmy gets yet another shutout. Metros better win. A win could give them 1st place overall in the league.
From field turf web site THE ULTIMATE ALL-WEATHER SURFACE FieldTurf surfaces deliver optimal performance in wet or dry conditions and provide the ideal playing conditions all year long. A totally porous system, FieldTurf is specially engineered to provide maximum drainage, and leave the turf perfectunderfoot in even the heaviest downpour. Each blade of FieldTurf grass is UV protected and is resistant to the most extreme temperatures. FieldTurf outdoor fields are playable twelve months a year. Re: Re: MetroStars Vs Burn - pregame Williams is hurt so someone has to take his spot. Imagine if the Argentine mid beside being able to attack can defend and is a good tackler. Then put him on the field, and have him play simple like Guevara did in his first game. You will see some good inside attack work between some of these guys on the field. Thinking about Guevara, I wish they let him stay inside the field instead of playing out side so much. He is a lot more dangerous inside the field then on the flank. Do you think they can keep Mathis from taking corners in this game? He is much more dangerous playing a corner then taking a corner. Richie
MetroStars victory. I hope Mike bags one just to drive the anti-Magee denizens nuts. Why is almost everybody predicing a shutout? Kreis and Martinez always score against the Metros, and Ronald Cerritos is back. One of them's going to put it in the net.
Only question about tonight is which will be lower, the attendance or the goal count? In light of Dallas' potent offense (largely latent so far this year) and swiss cheese defense (don't care how mnay goals they've let in, I'm not impressed), I suspect there will be more goals than people. Going up against Nets, bad weather, and Memorial Day weekend, this should be one poor crowd. They may not even be able to announce 10,000!
The diagram of the Metros' starting formation shows it to be somewhat unbalanced, with Lisi out wider left than Clark is out right. One possibility, I guess, is that this is just an accident of how the diagram is made. Or, it may reflect Bradley's stated intention. I have seen unbalanced formations before and never really understood the thinking. I would be interested if anyone has any comments. Richie?
The Metros have played an unbalanced midfield already this year -- --------Guevara--------- -DiGi--------------------- -----Williams--Clark-----
FC Metro 65 : 2 Dallas I think its a better name than MetroStars...of course we all call them Metro anyway, so why not just tag the FC onto it
