They are not going to score goals with Magee and (Wolyneck or Gaven) playing up front. They need forwards. How long is Moreno out? I think he doubled his time already. Forchetti should start the next game. They also need a goalkeeper if Howard doesn't come back. They surrendered three goals with Grafer.

Nah, we just need a better strength and conditioning coach to improve the forwards we have now and more midfield players to try playing up top...LOL

    Mike Nugent

If Mike Nugent is healthy, we should put him in. He's a good player.

Metro has no money for a good scorer at the moment. tim howards imminent departure to EPL will free up some bucks. but who is available ,and at this stage of the season would it help? i bet we'll get some help.

I don't think we need more forwards.....we need our midfielder's to help in the scoring load. How many chances did Clark and Guevara blow on Saturday?

After watching Magee the first 2 games, did anyone really think he would have 3 goals after 10 games? Eddie Gaven looked good and made some nice runs.

What the Metros really need is a new starting left fullback. Once Pope and Moreno are healthy and Clint is back, DiGi is going to be the weakest link on the Metros.

I think the Metros will be fine with Magee and Gaven up front, dont forget how young these guys are.....they just need time to learn off each other and goals will come...it also doesnt help that mathis is out though

PS. I bet Pope wouldve beat Ralph to that ball Jolley sucks

Are you sick dude? I won't disagree with you that he did indeed make a bad play and is a little slow but c'mon. Stay in the Dallas area and root for your high school Burn team.

    PS...YOUR TEAM SUCKS.

I also think that another forward would be best.

I read in ussocceruk.com a couple of weeks ago that Jason Kreis wants to be traded... what would it take to get him?

As for Moreno... I said it a long time ago... I don't think he is a pure '9'. He is not our answer for the stricker position.

The math is is simple and was there before the season started. This is a rebuilding year and no "fast start" was going to change that. We are overloaded with inexperience, talented perhaps, but inexperience none the less. When you start 3-4 rookies per game, the going will be bumpy.

As for the forwards, I'm sure it was not Bradley's expectation to be in the position of starting two teenagers this early in their development. It is just a sign that it will take more than one year to have real depth. The brightside is that the game was winnable.

I still remember Petke's first start when he made a rookie-error, getting badly turned in the box which cost us the game against Dallas. He learned and got better.

By my count we have already played eight "rookies", six of whom have started at least one game: Clark, Magee, Regan, Le Blanc, Arena, Gaven, Galvan and Forchetti.

The competition is tougher than when Petke was a rookie. Patience, always difficult (especially in NY), will be required. Soccer is a funny game. If Zach hadn't gotten his hand up just in time on Gaven it could easily have been an entirely different game.

P.S.: If we hadn't traded Davis to get Magee, who would we have playing up top?

I would be in agreement if we didnt have any chances, any shots. But we did, all that was lacking was the finishing. I saw it as an off day more than anything. Gaven and Magee both had great chances, as did our midfield. Well start finishing those.

Magee cost the Metrostars the game he missed two goals with a empty net, because he couldn't head the ball down.

I dont think gaven had a chance to chip it over thorton...its extremley difficult to chip a ball in full stride plus thorton was quick off his line..good play by thorton great ball by guevera and good run by gaven
