After last night's game everybody should see that Moreno and Mathis are the forwards. DiGiamarino, Williams,Guevara and Clark are the midfielders. That leaves Pope Joley and (Ziade or Leitch) as defenders. They really need to get the left sided defender. Maybe they can move Leitch or Ziade to the left side. With another really solid left sided defender the team can do really well.

Digi played great at left back last night and moved into the attack at will. I'd stick with him there and get a left sided mid.

Well, as long as Bob Bradley is re-creating the old DC United lineup, why not find Mario Gori?

He's a leftfooted, left defender who is still only 29 if I remember correctly.

Last time I heard about him, he was playing with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, which means he's cheap, and there's still room for one more Senior International, correct? (Mario's from Argentina. Did he ever get a green card?)

If you never saw him play for DC United, the guy was a wrecking machine. Sort of a poor man's Johann Neeskens or Francisco Marinho.

Energy to spare. Fan favorite. Lots of passion.

    Where is Mario these days?

I think offensive-minded left back may be DiGi's best position. Maybe he'd be better suited at midfield, or maybe it would be easier for us to find a back and put him as the left mid instead of finding a left mid and leaving him in the back. But I think he's earned a starting role on that side of the field for the next several games, at least. We were very fortunate to get him in that two-team lottery.

You're in a 3-floor walkup cold water flat in Brooklyn. You're recovering from a bad hit of acid. The year is 2025

I just read an article where it said that DiGiamarino is the left back and starting to play well. That is fine with me then who is the left mid? What happened to Mark Lisi? Is he still injured? Guevara is not playing in the next game that means Mathis back to center mid. You kind of think they are going to lose again.
