As the MetroBlack squad will be involved with US Open Cup Competition as a member of the USASA, this is the link that I found in the US Open Cup Section. http://www.soccernjsa.com/us_open_cup.htm March 16th At Garfield Vistula I'm guessing that when Metro will tell us where and what time, Maybe we should go and support them. Good Luck MetroBlack.
My gut instinct: MetroBlack goes far into the Open Cup, everyone else notices them and the best players get signed to contracts with other clubs because of the exposure, with Metros left wondering what happened to their up and coming "superstars".
My gut instinct tells me that the Metrostars Black will end up defeating the original Metrostars if they ever meet up.
Kinda off-topic, but I was wondering about the Open Cup, do you have to be part of a league that is partners with the cup or can any club sign up?
Hey, if any team can sign up (which I'm pretty sure of)why don't we all get a team together of everyone who posts on this board! I think we could go far...
For a fee your team can play in the open cup as long as you are USSF-affiliated, which means player passes and some kind of insurance. The easiest way to be affiliated is to be a team in a league that is affiliated.
