Vagenas expected to play, hopefully start saturday against the Metros. Possible return of Albright, unlikely though, probably comes back against Chivas USA. Formation: ---------------------Hartman----------------- Ugo--------Roberts------------Chinchilla--Dunivant Jones---------------Nagamura----------Grabavoy ---------------------Vagenas-------------------- -----(Naldo/Enfield/Kirovski?)-----Gordon---------- Gordon really impressed me against New England, I am sure a few more games under his belt, and as the comfort level rises, he will definitely score some goals. Although Enfield got his first goal monday, I am not so sure he should be starting, definitely a sub though. If Kirovski is healthy he should get the start otherwise Naldo will get the nod.
Our saving grace is that these guys blow. Don't why you're all fans of Gordon. Tbey had the starting lineup posted at the little "museum" outside. You saw Naldo and Gordon and knew we weren't going to be a threat to score. Jovan needs to get healthy. The Open Cup trophy is made of glass? Sheeat.
As the boards collectively second this reaction, by no way do you allow Naldo near the Meadowlands this week, let alone start. He should be sent on a sightseeing trip to Love Canal!
Naldo reminds me of this crazy homeless dude that walks up and down Abbott Kinney in Venice once in a while. Any Venice locals on here know who I'm talking about? You know, that guy that's always begging for pizza in front of Abbott's Habit... anyway, who's to judge. That guy scored in Salt Lake didn't he? Maybe he plays better in front of people who aren't necessarily booing him all the time.
If Naldo scores with no TV or LAG fans to back it up.... did he really score? Really... I would love to see it... I want to know if it was luck or skill. At this point any one but Naldo is good... I just can't believe that the FO is still paying this guy...
Naldo pisses me off, I boooooooed loudly when they announced his name on the lineup last monday night. Good times ...good times I predict a 1-1 tie if Albright returns if not then a 0-1 loss my 2 cents
Ngwenya (along with Albright) has been moved on the injury report from "Out" to "Questionable". So maybe a week or two more and he'll be ready for some second half sub action. Kirovski and Vagenas are also listed as Questionble so who knows if they'll be able to play this weekend. If we can just get healthy before our August road trip from hell, maybe we'll be able to actually win a couple on the road. Maybe...
The Metros have enjoyed success against the Galaxy, so a road win is probably not in the cards. A draw sounds logical, considering Suarez is playing for them.
Hmmmm.... Galaxy can barely score at home, and the further away they are, the worse they get. No cure for road woes under SS2, so I'll take the easy route and say 2-0 against my beloved yet troubled G's. Topper
Apparently the Metros have problems with home games (the again we have problems with road games)... I see this coming out as a draw (and possibly the most boring game ever). I think if Enfield or Gomez get out there we might see some attacking just to show last week was not all fluke. Any bets against Naldo starting?? Against all logic... this is a bad bet. Until now I have been a bit of a SS2 apologist, but no longer.
murkin muffins Topper your using your head. The rest of you have been dipping your cup into the ole' Galaxy Kool-Aid again. What makes some of you people think that the Galaxy will win this game, and the rest of you thinking they will tie this game? Here's a little stat for you " way to far gone" homers.... 1 road wins this year (chivas USA) 7 road games - (4) goals scored. No donovan, kirovski, umana(if that means anything) I guess most of you are hoping for some preverbial switch to be turned on and "poof" we're celebrating another championship, I'm just jealous though I wish I had your guys sense of optimism/delusion.
