Just saw this on MetroFanatic and saw it wasn't posted here yet.

The MetroStars tied the Cefar Select Team 1-1 today in a scrimmage in their first game in Argentina on the two-week preseason trip. MetroStars Head Coach Bob Bradley continues to invite players to train with the team in order to continue his rebuilding process. MetroStars 18-year-old forward Mike Magee tallied in the 28th minute to put the Metros up 1-0. In the 77th minute, Cefar was awarded a penalty kick and Ogolila converted the attempt to knot the score.
"We played two different groups of players in each half," said Bradley. "By playing these many players, we get a chance to look at everyone again in a game atmosphere. I thought the team today created some good opportunities and I was pleased to see that."
Former MetroStars defender Diego Sonora played for the Metros in the match as a guest player.

There's a defender Juan Marcelo Fontana who played for Central Cordoba and Gimnasia y Esgrima (Argentine Division 2). Born in 1972.

Fabian Zermaten is an attacking midfielder, played for Deportivo Quito, but he's Argentine.

    No clue on Sebastien Garce.

Note that of the 3, only Fontana appears on the roster.

Well if Garce is that young RB who played for Argentina against the US, I'm all for him!

But I guess he probably isn't.

Interesting that Bradley has stayed firm on his vision. He is not giving up an inch. He wants to make a strong team, and he is making the rounds. It's as if we're an expandsion team all over again.

Good to see Magee score, but yet gave up another PK.

    What's CEFAR select?

It looks like we were using more of an experimental lineup in the 2d half, filled with marginal guys trying to make the team. That may explain how CEFAR came back to tie it up in the 2d half.

Based on where he is listed in the lineup, it looks like Sonora was maybe playing up front. Is that possible?
