all the Wolff to EPL stuff in here is comical. there are many other reasons that the Fire would want this deal done than that.
The Metro passed on dumping $40,000 in salary and an SI while picking up a player at league max and signing another SI for big bucks? And all of this without having to make any other moves? How could they?
Wolff went down Wed. night with a probable ACL tear. I'd call our mgrs. downright prescient in this case -- or just plain lucky. We don't need to add one more star to the recovery bench. Even though we are getting Clint and Mama back, Balboa still has Tab to keep him company. Three's a crowd; more than that is ridiculous. We've been doing ridiculous for half the season.
Too bad if we would have traded for him he wouldnt have played that game so there wouldnt have been any ACL tear. Try again.
You don't cut...a past captain, and the heart and soul of the team--who's also a local here. That would be a terrible move without honor. [/B][/QUOTE] Now I know how some feel about Herr Walsh...
Come on people... If Bob Bradley is trying to make a deal with the Metros which seems to be too good to be true, then it probably is... Officially anounced today... Josh Wolff has suffered a torn ACL and will miss 4-6 MONTHS.... He torn it in the KC game on Wed. Now, when Mathis torn his ACL, he knew it instantly... Wolff AND Bradley knew it too... Never trust that AS@Hole!
I think wolff wouldn't been a nice addition to the metros, especially since he and Mathis are childhood friends. Plus tearing your ACL seems to be chance so the metros probably would never aquire a disabled for 6 months player for Feria.
This is a truly great post. That's amazing that the Fire tried to pull a fast one like that. The league should consider fining them for deception.
It is NOT a great post.......Wolff tore his ACL at approximately 830pm......trade deadline was at 5pm.......HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.....if he WAS traded he would have either been: A. at home telling his wife to pack up his sh!t B. On a plane to Newark to meet clint to go get liquored up Either one would have kept him off the Naperville field because he would have not been on the Fire anymore......
