looks like it, this was our lineup:

Tony Meola (Jon Conway 46'), Seth Stammler (Tim Regan 46'), Taylor Graham (Carlos Mendes 46'), Marvell Wynne II (Jeff Parke 46'), Adrian Serioux (Elie Ikangu 46') Chris Henderson (Mark Lisi 46'), Carlos Fangueiro (Piotr Swierczewksi 46'), Bjarni Gudjohnsen (Peter Canero 46'), Mike Magee (Blake Camp 46'), Youri Djorkaeff (Eddie Gaven 46'), Thiago Martins (Jordan Cila 46')

a2-1 loss for the first pre-season game isn't the worst thing in the world. it's obvious that we are still missing pieces of the team...we obviously need a foward or 2. mo knows that though so i'm pretty confident he'll bring someone good in

    I still say Whisky_Tango_Foxtrot.

We had players in the lineup brought in to improve the team. Let's hope they do improve by the time the team goes to Charleston.

    It's a friendly. It's meaningless.

It appears we fielded two teams -- one each half -- so yeah, it was a bit of a trot just to see if they could play together. And one of RSLs goals was off a PK, if that's any consolation.

I do not feel consoled, friendly or not. I didn't like that Nats losing to ROK either.

they've been playing together for a week! honestly, you dont expect them to play great together right? you can never tell anything from a first game, they're always all over the place. it's not even like it was a disastrous loss either, it was only 2-1 and one goal was from a PK.

The MetroStars typically do pretty well in pre-season (La Manga!). They also typically do not win any trophies the rest of the year.

Here is to an atypical year! 0 wins pre-season = ????????

My point of view is that we can always lose -- we've proven that over the years. Any loss -- regardless of the cirmustances -- feels like the same old story. I know it's early, and the guys are at sixes and sevens, in some cases just learning each others names. If Mo is ok with the game, that's all that matters at this stage.

I just don't want to get in the habit of shrugging of any loss. Ive carried that monkey for ten years.

Since we have so many new guys in camp it is important to find the best players we can and which ones will work out so I agree let's rotate as much as we can and determine which guys we want for sure. That being said , it is frustrating to lose every year so we do have to start winning at end of camp to give the guys some confidence in their team perhaps.

I've read that the Metros and KC play on Saturday at IMG, is that true?
    If so, what time?

I assume Bjarni Gudjohnsson is just on trial? Anyone hear anything about him?

This from a story last month on a Plymouth site (his last team - English Championship league):
