Is "The Old Shilling" the NEW name for "Brian Borus"?
    They have the same address.

Yeah, The Old Shilling is what used to be Brian Boru's Pub. It's on Hillside Avenue, in New Hyde Park just east of the Nassau/Queens line. It's next to a Blockbuster which is on the corner of Hillside and Lakeville Rd.

I haven't been to The Old shilling, but Brian Boru's was a good soccer bar. I never thought they were much into MLS, but I had some fun watching EPL games there. regarding a cover charge, I would assume they charge one if they have to pay to get a game telecast, like PPV or closed circuit.

It's where I saw the Clash beat DCU in the first MLS game back in 1996.

I saw quite a few at Brian Borus. They didn't seem to know much about MLS. Maybe WC02 educated them.

My question is, are the new owners of the place now called "The Old Shilling" MLS-friendly?

I was at The Old Shilling on Friday night. I asked about having a Metros supports club watch away game there, and they said "Just bring some cash :)"
So they have no objectios to MLS or Metrostars.

Does anyone wanna meet up with me for an EPL, FA Cup, or 6 Nations game there? Maybe we could officialy indoctrine The Old Shilling as the official ESC pub of Queens/Nassau?

Let me know what you guys think.
