Pope is questionable with a deep thigh bruise.

Are our foreigners (Galvan/Taylor) in camp yet? Right now I don't think so?

We could also see Gaven up top too.

Taylor is on his way (per Jeff Bradleys First XI on MLSnet) and Galvan won't be available until the home opener.

I'm not sure that Lisi will start - last Saturday against Colorado was his first appearance of the preseason. I think we may see you Bradley start in his place.

While Pope is sporting a thigh bruise, I'm sure he will play. We have the following week off - so he can rest up for the home opener.

For week 1, I'll settle for a 1-1 draw on the road. I think it will take a couple of weeks for this team to find its form. Many of the starters (Pope, Galvan/Taylor/Glen, Lisi, etc.) have not played together in the preseason.

Lisi had two assists in that game. He will most likely start.

Here's what I'd like to see on Saturday in Metro's 1-nil victory:

    Walker
    Leitch Pope Bonseu Parke
    Clark Vaca Guevara Lisi
    Magee Wolyniec

If not Pope then DiGiamarino, If not Lisi then Gaven

    Soy de Metro!!!

I thought they played excellent ball. Parke was impressive in the back. Lisi played excellent. Everyone played very well. I do think that T-Bone is a little suspect in the back due to the lack of pace, but i'll give him another chance because he had to chase Cunningham all over the field. I think Zadie should be on the bench. Fabian Taylor who played the last 20 min. or so didn't impress me much but it's only the first game. Everything is looking really, really good. Can't wait to see the rest of our new players come in and Pope to be back for the next game. Overall grade from me: A-

With the exception of the 10 minutes in that match the Crew were out hustling our boys (Between the Hejduk Goal & Magee's goal) the boys deserved to win the match tonight and our midfield looks so much better than the entire Crew. For the first time I can say that the boys looked dangerous.

Great game...very entertaining, and a fair result. The Metro midfield was fantastic, especially Vaca tearing down the wing. Gaven had a good game, so did Guevara and Magee and Lisi. Hell, the whole team was brilliant.

But, my MotM was Parke...excellent job on the backline.

Agree with most of the posts. Wanted to pull my hair out with all the shots we put right into Buschs chest. Though otherwise, we played great, except maybe for Ziadie. he was only fair. Couldnt believe how open Hedjuk was in that ten minute stretch. Thought Leitch on the other side was solid. Tell ya, I was hoping we go with a 3-5-2, but if this is how they work in a 4-4-2, I'm happy. Just need our fullbacks to play at least this well every game.

I have to say Woly played his best game as he was physical and strong on the ball and never stopped throughout the whole game. Parke was a surprise and Lisi was great offensively out of his def mid position. This is the best team offensively and depth wise we have ever had. Only problem might be experienced depth in the back. Vaca and Amado work well together and our forwards are always running onto the ball into space, something Mathis and Moreno stopped doing last season. Nice substitution with Rico as he was aggresive and layed out Elliot pretty good that one time on the play he's probably still whining about. Ziadi controlled Surfer dude for the most part and T Bone held his own against Cunningham. Leitch was solid and Gaven great. Best start of a season in a long time for me. Youngest team in MLS and now an attacking team. I wanted to see Digi or Mike Bradley at the end sub in is my only regret of game as neither came in. :)
